Per twitter - OU is allowing graduate QB Austin Kendall to transfer without restriction and without having to sit a year.

He's a graduate they don't ever have to sit a year

Wrong. Big 12 has a rule that would allow them to force him to sit out a year for a transfer in conference, which is what this whole conversation was about.

WRONG..... Guess yah missed story earlier today that BlowU was blocking immediate eligibility on transfer to WVU today...... And yes, if BlowU didn't allow waiver on transfer to WVU with no restrictions, Austin Kendall would have to "sit a year" to play at WVU.

Couple Tweets to help catch you up:

Gonna need a healthy year from Sam...

Sooo pretty much what we'd expected as of a couple weeks ago then. Happy Casey seems to be coming around to being QB2.

Probably wouldn’t have made a difference with Rising, but I wish Buechele would have announced this earlier.

It really definitely wouldn't have.

Spoke to a person close to Shane Buechele and was told the quarterback received assurances he could remain on scholarship, graduate in the spring, and then transfer.

That Herman dude is a classy son of a bitch. Good luck to 'ya, Boosh. HOOK 'EM.

Per Fuck Chip Brown - Thompson has decided to stay at Texas now that Rising/Buechele intend to leave.

Went from one of the best QB situations in FBS, to suddenly - not so great.

Excited to see Thompson in the Spring Game, and see how much progress he has made as a passer.

Still actually one of the best. Heisman contender and 2 (young) bluechip backups.

Agree....Based on a friend of mine in athletic dept, Rising realized Texas not the best spot for him.  That's ok for everyone.....

TCU adds a transfer walk-on QB from UGA.

That's an expensive walk-on school choice. Great googly moogly!

Was he 2014? How much eligibility does he have?

He has one more year. Spent most of his time at South Carolina injured.

I'm sure there's a dozen posts on varioues aggy sites imploring him to come back home to college station. And I wouldn't be surprised if he did that, and the hero's return he would receive.

jordan moore will announce his transfer to houston today

he was texas bound until herman had a change of heart   herman explained the situation josh/whittington

Frankly, he’s not good enough to play here. I’m fine with that. Aggy only offered him last year because they thought it would help with Josh (and maybe Whit).

This is probably true. The humorous thing is that not only was O’Neal their top rated recruit in that class, Jordan was their #6.

Better question is who do we see if Mond gets knocked out next year?  Man bun?  James Foster?  Jimbo special Calzada?

Would love to see Man Bun for the lulz. But I think it will be James Foster as the next man up.

Very likely it’s Foster.

He'll transfer to whichever school is closest to where Justin Beiber lives.

I'm surprised Auburn hasn't gone after a QB.  They are a decent QB away from being pretty good next year.  No idea what they have on roster.

They have one of the top QB recruits in the country coming in. Maybe they were worried about pissing him off. It does seem like they should have looked for a transfer who was ready to play this year. I’d have to think they could’ve at least gotten someone like Kelly Bryant.

Players aren't re-rated yet though, right? The ones I recognize seem like their high school ratings.
