@immamac i meant for the thread title to be “sean miller is *already* losing me”, and it’s bugging the shit out of me. if you could change it i’d appreciate it.

You can edit your own thread title. Just edit the first post - should give you the option.

  • immamac changed the title to Sean Miller is already losing me

I really want Miller to be successful and I want to like the guy.  But man, he's a really.... boring listen.  Hopefully, at some point, winning cures all.  Until then, he's really tough to listen to.

Being boring is a bad quality for a UT basketball coach. Basketball doesn't sell itself here.

that was one thing i always enjoyed growing up- i liked Tom Penders and he was a very candid guy, and then Barnes comes along and he’s somehow even more candid, and a great storyteller to boot. i used to love singing The Eyes at the FEC and then jessi ng straight to the car to listen to the postgame show with criag way and coach barnes. he’d tell you who did well and who did poorly, why it happened, what he told them in the huddle/locker room, and what they needed to do to get their shit straight before the next game. between Lemons, Penders, and Barnes, that’s a lotta years of coaches at Texas who were good on the microphone. i miss that aspect of the Texas Basketball experience.

I don't care about basketball nearly so much as I care about rock 'n roll, and that right there is a master fucking class.  It's one of my go-to videos when someone asks something stupid like "what does a great frontman really mean?" or "what exactly does it mean to be a rippin' live band that isn't exactly tight as a duck's ass?".

How's our men's basketball team doing?

No yeah it's going great.

at least we aren't getting platitudes about our practice play needing to just catch up to our game play.

I suppose he's trying to find out who doesn't want to get embarrassed in conf play this year.
