This is the GOP’s “we’re the victims” approach to everything when they get checked by anyone that holds them accountable for overt malfeasance.

Jack should tell them to get fucked and go start your own platform.

GOP or not, that's a United States Congressman wanting to bring in a private company for questioning. This is the nature of the beast. There will always be a politician waiting to interfere with things not in their lane.

As you already know, I fully support the tech companies telling government to fuck off.

It’s one thing when Congress calls you up to bitch about you being unfair to obvious racists and liars.

It’s something different when your called because you allowed a hostile foreign government to exploit your platform to covertly commit major crimes with serious national security implications.

This is what happens when something gets politicized. You've been wanting something like this to happen it's just not how you wanted it to happen. Government intervention is a double edged sword.

I'm fine with regulation. McCarthy isnt though, so he should shut the fuck up and let this private business do what it wants. Hell, he is already fine with his ISP cutting him completely off of twitter and any other website it wants and selling his porn viewing history.

I'm sure he will recognize his hypocrisy and fuck off any moment now.

That all depends on who is in charge of Congress.

The people of the United States.

Russians dig being controlled by a singular, powerful entity....been that way for centuries.  The ideologies have differed but they've all been brutal and totalitarian.

Sounds similar to a certain someone we all know who is fixated on "very strong" leaders that most of us simply refer to as dictators.

I hope this new sanctions bill / NATO bill gets passed like yesterday. That's how you stick it to Putin. More than anything else.
