It looks like Jerry World fucked the Vikings stadium and had a baby.  Which given KC being the midpoint between those cities on I-35 is kinda fitting.

I sure hope they use a lot of government $$$ for this because I know times have been tough for the Hunt Family, as $25,000,000,000 doesn’t go as far as it used to go.

1. I was hoping that the Chiefs would move back to Dallas so Dallas could get another Lombardi.

2. Mr. Hunt, when speaking about what the Chiefs are about, mentioned that they have always chased "Big Dreams":
Divisional Titles
Conference Championships
Lombardi Trophies

What he DID NOT say the Chiefs chased were:
Regular Season Stat Trophies
MVP Trophies

Do You see the Difference here Cowboy Fans ? ? ?

Be my guest. Football is a TV product, who cares where the teams are? Taxpayer dollars for something used 8 times for 3 hours per year is an awful use of land and money.

Who are you speaking at with this take? Cowboys fans don't give a single shit about regular season stats and as far as I can recall only Emmitt ever won league MVP. Jerry wins revenue and valuation every year which is another thing we don't give a shit about. We all fucking hate Jerry Jones. We all know he's not a serious owner or GM. I would trade him for Hunt or literally any other owner in the league.

That's why it needs to be indoors so you can have Taylor Swift's residency. That alone would add about a trillion dollars to the local economy.

I can agree with this. Football stadiums can be out in the middle of nowhere and would make no difference. As you said, they only play 8 home regular season games each year. Most on the weekend. Many times, people plan well in advance to go to the games, coming from all over. As opposed to MLB, which has 81 home games a year, many during the weekday evenings. NBA/NHL, 41 home games a year, also many during the week. Centrally located downtown stadiums are best for these sports. Easy access, usually public transportation to get to a game.

Not sure why citizens care so much about billionaire owners trying to strong arm them into funding their new stadium toys, and they leverage the rest. They reap all the benefits, citizens actually pay with their own money to fund a good chunk of the price. What benefits do citizens get? I don't see any. It's a huge racket. I wish people would wise up and tell these owners to fuck off and stop funding their stadiums. Many times, a new one isn't even really needed.

These aren't anything, they were with the original "we're interested" presentation ks had a year or two ago. An architect hasn't even been chosen yet.

Well, Ft Wayne is much closer to Indianapolis and about the same distance to Detroit as Chicago.
This feels like Bears ownership pulling a flex to get the city to fund a new stadium, which is appropriate given the graft that is Chicago politics. I suggest the Bears organization look into kidnapping and/or hiring some drug mules.

I mean, you “can’t” out-politic Chicago and Illinois. Good luck to them though.

A good site is on the SE side where the former steel mills were in the lakefront. Counterpoint, Chernobyl-light contamination.

Whenever it's put to a vote, voters usually do tell them to go F themselves.

Everything is up to date in Kansas City (Mo.),

You've gone about as fer as you can go...

So... Bye KC Mo....

A state will always win over a city, a county, or a regional district.
Look at the New Orleans Superdome... it's not a city, county, or a regional project, but it's a "State" facility...

You point out those teams, but do not say the obvious Arlington Cowboys? Who were the Irving Cowboys before that.

There is no reason the NFL can't fund their own stadiums, except that they know the suckers that DON'T have a team will leap at the chance to get one, taxes be damned.

The new domed stadium will be used by the KC Chiefs beginning in the 2031 season.

But the stadium can start hosting concerts and other sporting events before the fall of 2031 . . .

I saw something like that but I think it was a joke. The site I read was by the Kansas Speedway in the far west exurbs of KC.

By the time it’s built the chiefs will suck lol

I bet that the taxpayers will be getting a real sweet deal on this one

Probably why the Hunt's are trying to pull this shit.  They know their little run of dominance is quickly coming to a close.  What do you need if you aren't a big market team and your team is ass?  Well, a shiny new stadium, of course!  This allows you to rent it out for concerts, other sports, etc.

It's why Arthur Blank with the Falcons doesn't really give a shit about the team winning.  The Mercedes-Benz Butthole brings in a crazy amount of money for him.  Oh, and he doesn't have to pay any property tax on it!

Before the days of google maps and GPS on your phone, I was on a business trip in the area, and we had a visit scheduled with a large industrial distributor located in Gary. We were coming down from Chicago, and got lost in Gary so we pulled over and called their office. When we gave them our cross streets, their response was lock your doors and don't stop even if you get a flat. Their facility was surrounded by 10 foot walls and razor wire, lulz. It was sketchy, but it was also too f'n cold out for anybody to be out fucking around. Apocalyptic is an accurate description of some of the urban blight in that area.

Kansas is using a state level funding vehicle called Star Bonds. The mayor of KC MO complained that they didn't have that option.

Kansas said that no taxes would be raised of any kind to fund this.

Not all fans, of course. But the copium by homers on Cowboys forums always goes back to regular season playing records. So my post is mainly directed at homers.

Everyone else doesn't give a rip about anything regular season. You win enough to get in the playoffs, and you advance beyond the first round, with the goal to play in the NFC Championship game.

That is obviously not Jerry's goal. He is a cancer on the team.
