I'm looking for a labrador retriever breeder in Texas.  Any of you surlsters have any recommendations on who you have used in the past or anyone who you have heard not to use - thanks in advance.

Are you wanting a hunting dog or just a lap lab?  If you want a hunting dog, i can point you in the right direction.

I mean, of course I have aspirations of her making blind retrieves at a hundred plus yards...but in reality we will probably spend the majority of our time on the couch or being harassed by the kids.  But i would appreciate the info to compare with.

We've used Seven Oaks in Spring Branch, TX.  Love our yellow lab but maybe check out a rescue as well

Our last two labs came from Heart of Texas Lab Rescue.  Our current black lab is the best dog I've ever had.

If you are looking at a gun dog, you might check out Best Retrievers.

Thanks Jerry, I owe you some rep, I'm all out for today.
