It is interesting how his tackles all do well, but his interior guys do not. He did recruit that huge kid out of North Shore while he was at Bama and then tried to start him. That guy was pretty awful, as I recall, and got benched after flood left. I’ll think of his name in a minute. Anyway, his eye for talent in the middle of the line is questionable. Maybe he’d do better if we stopped letting him shop for all the groceries.

Did Gerry and Bobby fuck over Nahlin with their hasty exits?

Shuttlesworth is the gym rat of the two.

You seem like an IT stan asking a loaded question thinking that you already know the answer, so get fucked with this ignorant shit, dude.

He’s a pussy. We got into a disagreement that he escalated at a happy hour function. I offered to take it outside. He panicked, had people intervene in the altercation and then he Irish goodbyed the whole group as fast as he could.

Being angry doesn’t make one a badass. I doubt he’s been in a fight in his life.

In an alternate universe where he took you up on the offer, ctj getting his ass kicked by Eric Nahlin in a parking lot might make for a new texags documentary.

so, what about Michael Huff. Will he be coaching or no?

There's a 67% likelihood Gideon hires him, after he takes over as DC, after Boom takes over as HC, after Sark takes over as Dolphins' HC. Situation is fluid.

He's the real thing. Nahlin going after him is... a choice.

A bad choice.

A very dickish assholish choice.

I know we're supposed to read the GT boards' response to this as "coping," but I think we can take it at face value; he wasn't quite ready to be a DC yet.

I'm not saying you're incorrect but there is another equally reasonable explanation. Will already stepped away from coaching for family time at Georgia. There is a possibility Will is legitimately interested in a smidgen better work life balance and having Blake here with him, someone he knows and trust already helps. In that same line of thought, could be a succession plan in an ideal world. Muschamp goes back to HC elsewhere/retires for family and Blake steps in.

I know fuck all, but this seems as reasonable an explanation for why Blake would come and why Will would want it. Doesn't exclude your reasons from being true either.

Also, it's not impossible it was a big pay upgrade to come home.

15 years or so ago I was at luncheon when I met him and shared a story about Gus Malzahn, whom I had just gone on a golfing trip with (met through a mutual friend). Despite not knowing me or verifying my information he said I could write on his recruitocosm or whatever it was at the time blog. I literally had nothing to share on a blog except what I had just told him which was not meant for a broader audience anyway. He must had been absolutely desperate for content.

PK at Stanford would be great. No real conflict with us for most recruits. Not a team we will play and yet a great west coast location for him to end up. Very happy it is not USC.

#181

I think BYU and USC would the biggest jobs out west/NW. Figured PK would be one of those; sorry Tree, “I forgot you were still there.” I actually wonder if Nansen tries for USC.

Stanford Offensive Guard Branson Bragg Announces Retirement Due to Concussions

Stanford Offensive Guard Branson Bragg Announces Retirement Due to Concussions - 13 September 2022

Stanford senior offensive guard Branson Bragg has announced his retirement from football.

Bragg issued the following statement about his decision on Monday:

"I'm heartbroken to announce that I've decided to retire from football. This was the hardest decision I've ever had to make, but with long-term lingering and intense symptoms stemming from a severe concussion I sustained in training camp, along with other mental health factors, I'm confident that stepping away is the best decision for me.

The past four years at Stanford have been everything that I could've hoped for, and I created countless lifelong bonds while living out my dream with the best teammates and support staff in the world. Huge shoutouts to the entire offensive line, Coach Shaw, Coach Heff, Coach Pritchard, Coach Carroll, Coach Perez, Dr Kelli Moran-Miller, Floyd Vito-Cruz, Greg
Valenzisi, all of our athletic trainers, and so many more.

I plan to graduate on time with a bachelors in Mathematical and Computational Science.

Go Card, now and forever!!
Branson Bragg"

Bragg played in and made 16 starts during his Cardinal career on the offensive line and has been named preseason All-Pac-12 by numerous publications leading into the 2022 season. He was set to be Stanford's starting left guard this season prior to the injury.

I think this is him in the link below.

Maybe his criteria for what constitutes a really good gig differs from yours. PK has always marched to the beat of is own drummer, it seems to me.

It’s becoming clear that Flood isn’t going anywhere. Sark sees no problem with the offensive side of the ball. I’m bracing myself for more mediocrity by his unit.

Black Monday in the NFL means lots of NFL assistants unemployed. Sark's mentor Pete Carroll's staff among them. Also now Tee Martin from the Ravens.

Side note, how did Tyler Santucci end up as LB coach in Baltimore?
