Looked for threads and the most recent appliance thread was > 5 years old. New thread!

First, I have a 16 year old Samsung fridge - bottom freezer with french doors. Not freezing or cooling properly. Did some basic diags and will do some more. If I decide, "F it, I am going to call a repair guy", who would you call? I know Samsung is garbage and I am personally astonished that it has lasted 6 years with only 1 minor repair. I know I might also be buying a new fridge, but I want to make an effort first. I need to do some more diagnostics first, but I figured I'd prefetch for a recommended repair person.

Second, I have a downdraft cooktop, with a telescoping system. Well, the telescoping part of it no longer works - and these are shitty solutions. Same question - who would you call?
