I teach English in public school in the Texas. I got a bee in my bonnet to visit SK this summer for an extended summer stay. Can I fly in and find work that will alleviate some costs? Under the table, no Visa.

Extrapolating from a scheme I heard of in Mexico, there might be a way for you to sign up to take, say, Korean classes, and instead of paying for them, or them paying you, you teach some English and they give you room and board.

Me I was always hoity-toity and did it with a visa. Except for that one time I didn't, in France at Wall Street English. WSE is like McDonalds of language teaching, individual franchises. I had pleasant conversations with small groups, then the owner gave me cash. You'd have to trust the owner. Looks like they are in S. Korea too.

I suspect that Korea will be full of new language schools sitting next to even newer language schools staffed by people who used to work at the former.

Interesting. Are you fluent?

Your mother likes my dangling modifier and it was nice of you to give her the money to bleach her antecedent.
