  • Ugh. When I first moved here in 2010 they used to have an old Expedition that neighbors would volunteer to drive around the neighborhood all weekend with a "SECURITY" sticker on it. Fucking stupid.

I bet I ate a chopped brisket sandwich and a bag of Fritos at Bailey's BBQ at least 2 times a week in the 80s and 90s when doing stuff in federal court in Cowtown.

And I always had a schooner of beer with lunch at Angelo's on Friday afternoons!

Baileys is a unknown gem in downtown about as old school as you can get. We’d eat there occassionally. That beer at Angelo’s might have been the coldest beer on earth in those double frosted glasses. Ate there about once a week for years. A regular spot for taking out of town business visitors.

The Austin-based Tex-Mex restaurant chain Chuy’s is coming to Hudson Oaks in the summer of 2024.

The 6,650-square-foot Parker County restaurant is estimated to cost $2.6 million. That will include building the restaurant from the ground up as well as exterior and interior finishes.

Chuy’s Hudson Oaks will be located at 2701 E. Interstate 20. Construction is expected to start Jan. 9 and estimated to be completed Aug. 6. A Lewisville construction company, Parkway Construction & Architecture, will be in charge of the project.

Pretty sure I read that’s going next to Cheddars. Cheddars original agreement was no restaurant in the shared lot.

Can’t say I’ve had Chuy’s more than once or twice. Mexican besides La Playa Maya is welcome though.

Peony’s. Holy shit that’s a blast from the past. Don’t think I ever at there but they delivered all the way in River Oaks.

Looks like a tornado hit it. Parking lot is a ghost town and a quick google for LW BWW sends you to every other Bdubs in the area except that one.

And as usual, Boomerjack's parking is flowing out into the street and around the corner

BWW and the building owners were fighting to figure out who pays for repairs. I think they’ve started repair/remodel.

Me and my buddies camped out overnight for the grand opening of that BDubs. Had to be 2007 or so. The first 50 or something people were gonna get free wings for a year. There were bros in line with playstations set up and everything, was a giant party. Somehow we ended up first in line and went straight to the bar. The free wings turned out to be a coupon book with 52 Free 6 Wings coupons with dates on them so you could use one a week. Glory days

Any recs on a roofing/gutter company? Need gutters installed, already have a bid coming from Frazier.

Roof replaced as well or just gutters? I used Joe Hunnicutt - Primus Roofing, for my roof. He's got a gutter guy (husband wife team) that did a great job.

Joe said to give him a call. He can make the arrangements. The guy didn't speak very good english, super nice guy though.

If any of you kids find yourselves on BI just south of Lone Star Oyster Bar, there’s a tent selling bootleg Rangers shit at the Quick Track. Sign says last day, but it’s probably said that for awhile. Some of the shirts are 2/$20.

#5189
Fuck, I jinxed them with my post recently. Guess those Heights kids didn’t spend enough of daddy’s $.
Side note, if any of you attended AH in the mid-‘90s, shoot me a PM.

You old fuck. Gonna have to quit making fun of the other olds on here.
