(for your own sanity do not take 20 west from Benbrook) got it. hell no to the traffic on 20 westbound. we'd come up through Cresson into Weatherford and avoid that stretch of Aggie engineering. 17 hours ago, shadow_operative2.0 said: What's the pizza joint in the stove shop these days? Drawing a blank. its decent but the atmosphere is off.

June 24Jun 24 Finally finished my last Texas Light the other day. For $.42 each, can’t complain, but that’s about my best review.

June 26Jun 26 Jack London's, that shit was driving me fucking crazy. I remembered it was the official FW watch location for the 49ers, of all teams. I finally googled 'irish bar oakland ave san francsico 49ers' after several other failed attempts & multiple texts to former teammates.

June 27Jun 27 The margins on coco shrimp must be insane. Scoop of rice, 6 shrimp, fistful of lettuce.
June 28Jun 28 Fuck coco shrimp. “Y’all still have all you can eat shrimps?”“No, it’s 33 shrimp and no substitutions”“I’m allergic to coconut”“We’ll, I wouldn’t order anything fried then because it’s all cooked in the same grease”“I need yo manager then”Sorry, nightmares from 25 years ago.
June 28Jun 28 Had to go to the Sunglass Hut back before Christmas, but before that it had probably been 3-4 years
June 29Jun 29 That where the pizza joint was across from Mash’d? Never been. If I’m doing brunch it’s First Watch or Brix, and if my wife gets to choose it’s Little Red Wasp (she’s boujee like Fud).

What’s going on in that area? Haven’t been through there in a few months and there is a bunch of places shut down
June 30Jun 30 I ate at El Tiempo Cantina which is located in Choctaw Stadium catty corner to Texas Live. It's legit. It is a little higher priced because of the proximity to Globe Life but it's worth a try.
July 1Jul 1 Finally stopped by Terry Black’s and regret it, brisket sandwich was absolute ass. Drier n shit and tough, unrendered as well.
July 2Jul 2 Author That sucks. My one visit to Terry Blacks was very good. I had brisket, beef rib, and sausage. This was a few months back.

July 2Jul 2 Author Central Market is selling Rahr 6 packs for $13.99. That’s a ridiculous price for a mediocre beer.
July 2Jul 2 So the adult Chuck E. Cheese thread had me thinking about good ol' Putt-Putt way back in the day. Did not realize our shit on Calmont has been closed for quite awhile now. Shows how many kids I don't have. Does anyone play mini-golf anymore?
July 3Jul 3 I took my girls there in 2016. Not sure if it even made it to Covid. That was certainly a staple of my childhood. We play just about anytime there’s a course around. My kids 15,12,9 all enjoy it. Although the 15 yr just complained how hot she was last time. One of these weekends we’re stuck up in Collin County I plan on hitting upPop Stroke. It’s a Tiger Woods joint. 2 18 hole courses, bars, and food.
July 3Jul 3 Benbrook one by the YMCA & little league fields is re-done, but their concessions may consist of a Coke machine.
July 3Jul 3 Ask HH if my boujee ass is going to Benbrook. Now that you’ve put that on my radar I’ll have to go play there next time we’re playing in Benbrook.
July 3Jul 3 Ask HH if my boujee ass is going to Benbrook. Now that you’ve put that on my radar I’ll have to go play there next time we’re playing in Benbrook. Man you’re braver than me. I won’t even stop in Benbrook for diesel at 4am.
July 3Jul 3 That Circle K by Cracker Barrel tricked me the other day. Green neon sign said $2.79/gallon for regular, well, that's only for some wonky Fastpay shit. $2.89 for everyone else.

July 4Jul 4 Pop Stroke is fun. Always crazy busy, but fun and they have good food and ice cream. We’re up that way almost all year because that’s where a lot of the better soccer tournaments and leagues are hosted. Besides the Cowtown of course.
July 8Jul 8 Damnit!! Quote Maiden Fine Plants & Spirits, Fort Worth’s only vegan fine-dining restaurant, permanently closed Monday, July 7 after falling behind on rent, according to a statement released on the restaurant’s website and social media platforms. In the statement, Maiden staff said they were locked out of the restaurant July 7. Restaurant owners were hoping to renegotiate their lease at 1216 Sixth Ave. off of West Magnolia Avenue, where they had been located for the last two years, but were unable to pull efforts together in time. Maiden staff said they weren’t given notice before the lockout, which is normal when rent is not paid. Staff cited six months of rising costs and slower business as reasons for their economic difficulties. Maiden served a cruelty-free cuisine, with dishes like vegan pastas, short ribs and even eggs Benedict made solely from plant-based ingredients and no animal products. Maiden featured a $150, eight-course tasting menu with two seatings per night.
