September 10Sep 10 Pinstripes in Clearfork is done. Pretty sure almost every restaurant over there has turned over at least once since it all opened with the exception of Press Cafe and City Works. And I’m not sure how much longer City Works will be around if the last time I was in there was any indication That’s not even close to being true. B&B Butchers, Mesero, Doc B’s, Rise, Grimaldi’s, Cru, Fixe, and Malai Kitchen have all been in business since they first opened around 2018-2019.Clearfork isn’t my favorite area to dine out, but it seems to be very successful as all of those places have survived through Covid, far better than you could say about areas like downtown, Magnolia, or W 7th.
September 10Sep 10 Who's tried it? Quote Here’s exactly what’s on the menu: Steak tacos Chicken tacos Pork tacos Classic elote Flaming Hot Cheetos elote Takis elote Bottled water Tacos come on corn or flour tortillas with a choice of two toppings. Customers can choose from cheese, onions, cilantro, jalapenos, salsas and more. Guests can add as many toppings as they like but, anything more than two toppings costs extra. The machine only accepts credit cards for payment. ---- The taco ATM only operates on Fridays and Saturdays from 10:00 p.m. until 2:45 a.m. Though the ATM is not an attachment of any of the Funky Lime-owned bars, it is conveniently placed next to Junk Punch, Riot Room and No Vacancy.

Those places have not been in business since 2018-2019; most of them opened in 2017. Only two spots have came and went down there. I guess I am confusing them with the 7th area you mentioned above and the Sundance area.
September 10Sep 10 Someone didn’t do their 811 call. That honestly doesn’t seem dig related, but anytime you’re going to dig spray paint a square around the area you’re digging, get gps off your phone, call 811, and give them 48 hours. Also, for the love of all that is holy stick to you gd dig plan. We’ve had two line strikes the last two weeks that could have easily been fatal. High pressure gas go BOOM and electric lines will zap your ass to ashes.
September 17Sep 17 What's the old saying, "If you can't spot the asshole on the room..." Quote The roving Enchiladas ¡Olé! restaurant has moved again, this time to share space with a barbecue stand while owner Mary Patino Perez seeks yet another location. Enchiladas ¡Olé! will resume to-go and delivery service Wednesdays through Saturdays starting Sept. 17 from Perez’s Holy Cue Texican BBQ take-out shop, 4307 Camp Bowie Blvd., Perez announced Friday on Facebook that she had closed her most recent restaurant, 6473 Camp Bowie Blvd., after a two-year struggle to get a new liquor license in the former brewery location. She is negotiating for a “phenomenal” new location, she wrote on Facebook. Enchiladas ¡Olé! has opened and closed in five locations since Perez started it in 2013 on North Sylvania Avenue. Always seems to be someone else's fault in her world.

September 24Sep 24 Any attorneys with Tarrant County District Clerk subscriber access on here? This batshit crazy woman added me on FB and has be posting some really wild stuff. She has a family hearing in a few weeks. I'd love to see the pleadings and I don't want to pay $30/month for access.
September 25Sep 25 Went to Stumpy's on Lake Granbury, pretty cool setup. I need to be rich like @Herbie Hancock.

Campo Verde was a weird joint. Ate there back in the 80’s and it was the worst fucking Mexican food I ever ate. That includes Mexican food in Wisconsin and Massachusetts. It wasnt TexMex, or any regional Mexican; it was like something made on Mars in the 60’s. Got dragged back around 08 by someone saying “oh they fixed it; it’s yummy now!”. Not. By then they had loaded it with filthy christmas decorations that launched big dust bunnies when the ac came on, and the food still sucked. Also they allowed smoking because it’s Pantego. It reeked. They closed it down even though there is this weirdo contingent of superfans who loved the Christmas lights. so last year moose benhamacht bought it and cleaned it up. The building should have been condemned probably. He owns the excellent Cafe Americano in Arlington. He cleaned it up, kept about half the lights, and the train, and brought a new menu of more expensive Mex Tex and Mexican influenced dishes. Of course the OGs who flooded the place on its reopening in May pissed all over it. so he’s always a tweaker on his concepts; yanking losers off his menu and trying new shit fairly quickly. So he’s figured out that he underestimated the problems with the old clientele and their shitty tastebuds and decided to milk it thru Christmas then shut down and do a total remodel for a new unknown concept in 26. it’s the same issue with the folks that bought Pulidos and Margie’s, changing recipes and the menus. You can’t by some brands and change them. If someone bought Joe T’s and made a change it would be a disaster. But cattleman’s benefitted from Taylor Sheridan’s acquisition.

We ate there often when we moved back in the mid 00’s. The owner ran front of house like a machine, greeted every customer at the door and after a few visits knew your name. Service was impeccable, like a high end fine dining joint, and the food was the best TexMex I ever ate, and his grilled items were fantastic. usual story. He ran it like el jefe and didn’t really delegate, so when he got sick the family fucked it up. It declined and they sold it but it was never the same. Edited September 28Sep 28 by Texzilla58

October 7Oct 7 Quote Patrique Allen, the man who was shot to death early Sunday inside a Fort Worth nightclub, was a gang member with a history of violence who had a role in two homicides and was a possible suspect in a third killing, according to state district court records and a police source. ---- Allen was a member of the Eastside Gorillas and Truman Street Bloods street gangs, the district attorney’s office has alleged. October 12Oct 12 Plane crashing into big rigs, that's sounds like a cheap movie. …..on Netflix; that you’ve definitely watched at 3.
