October 16Oct 16 they better be careful or Ohare will get his ass lickers on council to name it David duke blvd as bo French and mercy culture cheer on.
October 16Oct 16 Cocksuckers are back at it again. Westbound 20 down to 1 lane from Markum Ranch to the 20/30 split

Westbound 20 down to 1 lane from Markum Ranch to the 20/30 split Like the ongoing saga of IH-35 (never to be finished before having to be upgraded) this area you mention has become the best area west of FW to acquire the desire to A. move out of state, B. buy a helicopter, C. long for the good old days, which do not exist in your lifetime if you have to drive any major thoroughfare near a large city.
October 17Oct 17 Cocksuckers are back at it again. Westbound 20 down to 1 lane from Markum Ranch to the 20/30 splitWelcome to beautiful Aledo. Just for the sanity and feeling of “I have to be moving and I don’t care if it takes ten minutes longer” I’ve taken 2871 > Aledo Iona > 1187 > Fm 5 all the way around to my house plenty of time. Just don’t do that between 7a-8:30a 3p-5p.

Looks like they’re taking the inside lane in both directions for the foreseeable future
October 17Oct 17 Doesn’t help they’re also updating 30/820 interchanges as well as straightening 30 and adding new bridges west of Chapel Creek.
October 23Oct 23 TEA “taking over” FWISD. Regardless of how you may feel about FWISD and their shortcomings (which are many), TEA is the last entity I would want trying to right the ship. It’s the equivalent of early 90’s Robert Downey Jr. trying to give advice on sobriety to Charlie Sheen.
October 23Oct 23 Haven't been to El Fenix probably since LL baseball days, went tonight, was honestly pretty damn happy with it. Fast & hot, $2 draft Modelo pints. Their chips are definitely from a bag now though, I knew going in that was a popular more recent complaint.
October 23Oct 23 Pretty sure there are others, but that one tonight. Didn't order it, but Wednesdays are their enchiladas special. $7.50 for beef, cheese, or chicken.
October 23Oct 23 The one on CB in front of goody goody? Or is there another location I’m forgetting? It’s like you’ve never been to Weatherford, you dirty commy.

I had the Wednesday special at the DT Dallas location about a month ago and it was the best meal I’ve had there in a long time.

Bo French is the worst person to come out of TarCo/FW in a long time, and that is quite a distinction given the competition from Tim O’Hare and some other real winners in past years.

O'Hare more dangerous because he actually occupies a position of authority

November 11Nov 11 Used to buy our 375 mL booze there before Ranger games back in the day. Gonna be a Shug's Bagels now, that shit will be packed for awhile.
November 19Nov 19 Who goes to McAlister's on CB or University? Their website lists inside, windowside & curbside pickup. We all know curbside means they bring that shit to you, but do you walk up to get windowside? Seems odd for both locations. This is because of @Fudbelty's question in the fast food thread.
November 23Nov 23 Uncle Julio’s reopening their Camp Bowie location on the 25th. Hopefully the entrance and cocktail patio aren’t shitty.
November 23Nov 23 Think it’s been soft open all weekend, been packed. Never catch me in that shit hole.
November 23Nov 23 Who's been to Fire Pot in the old Keg by Best Buy & all that shit? They've been open awhile, but for some reason chose this weekend as their grand opening. They've had coupons in the last couple Valpak mailers.

Robots all over the damn place. different but food wasn't bad
November 24Nov 24 Also, Spencer’s Corner & Coconuts were brought up tonight. Pour out a drip of 40s for those landmarks.
November 24Nov 24 One of the first places I got kicked out of when I moved to dfw was Spencer’s. Told superdouche Joey Green he looked like PJ from Goof Troop. The night rapidly declined after that
November 24Nov 24 They usually do. My Joey Green koozie from that shithole off the circle that’s Pollo Regio now legitimately combusted. Never seen one before or since replicate that fate.
November 25Nov 25 Never cheating on roadhouse again after that hoffbrau lunch in benbrook. What a shit hole, on par with an ihop steak.
November 25Nov 25 Ha, I go there a lot, but stick to chicken or catfish. Don't fucking ask them to change a TV, goddamn declaration of war takes less effort.

November 26Nov 26 From the Exes email. Quote Heading to Rabbit Hole? Plumbing is all fixed and they've got a Longhorn neon sign they're raffling off! Did they pull an Uncle Julio's?

November 29Nov 29 Yeah. In Granbury, the smoked sirloin, rare, is probably the best thing in town at that price point. Mesquite Pit is pretty good for portion size. For traditional cuts like filets and ribeyes, it’s the Pecan Plantation clubhouse, or Whiskey Woods in Glen Rose. CHIEF

December 12Dec 12 Quote A new tenant is coming to the West 7th Entertainment District, and it’s not a nightclub. 2821 Morton Street was the former home of Bottled Blonde, a “boisterous bar restaurant” that closed in Dec. 2024 along with its sister concept, Backyard, which was located down the street at 3009 Morton. The new tenant, according to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing, will keep the bar and kitchen, but its primary focus won’t be food or drinks. Instead, it’ll be a miniature golf course. Dirdie Birdie, an Austin-based mini-golf restaurant, will take over at the location. Here’s what we know. When will Dirdie Birdie open? Construction for Dirdie Birdie is supposed to begin January 2026 and end in June, according to the TDLR document. The Star-Telegram reached out for comment on opening dates and further details, but the owner has yet to respond. What is Dirdie Birdie like? Dirdie Birdie also has a location in Austin, in The Domain. The venue there has 12 holes they describe as “art installations.” Customers can expect to putt their way through holes that have obstacles, hills, tunnels and more. Putters can also eat and drink their way through the course with Dirdie Birdie chicken tenders, Nashville hot chicken sliders and wagyu sliders. They also have a full bar with craft cocktails like the “Strawnold Plamer” and Dirdie marg. The West 7th Entertainment District does not have many “entertainment” options besides restaurants and bars. The only other concept that is activity-centered is Sandbox VR a block over at 2956 Crockett St. @Dr Fear gonna buy a season pass.
December 12Dec 12 40 minutes ago, Dr Fear said: That sounds like a concept for an abandoned department store at a vacant mall. Ridgmar could have a 36 hole course and the former Sears location at Hulen Mall could too. Edited December 12Dec 12 by pch
