  • Ugh. When I first moved here in 2010 they used to have an old Expedition that neighbors would volunteer to drive around the neighborhood all weekend with a "SECURITY" sticker on it. Fucking stupid.

In the past their menu has had a steak section. I believe because of Adam’s background and of course the clientele

I like outback. But really, silver fox is my favorite. Rarely go out for steaks anymore though.

Grace is excellent. Del Frisco’s is also great.

Reata has never done anything for me from a food standpoint. The rooftop is nice for drinks when the weather is nice.

Going to be in town for the Black Keys show next month, and need a fancy dinner rec for night after (Friday). What’s the go to steakhouse these days?

B&B Butchers in Clearfork. Outstanding steakhouse.

have heard nothing but the opposite.  friends have said its fun to hang at the bar but the meal is overpriced and not worth the money.

Del Frisco's now owned by Tilman Fertitta.  Could be a good thing or a bad thing...depending upon your outlook on Tilman Fetitta.

When I went, it was outstanding. Won’t argue that it’s incredibly expensive, but it’s really good. If you ever go, get the pork belly/bacon appetizer, it’s awesome.

Not good in my experience

Thanks for all the recs! Think we’re going to check out Reata.

But Reata’s overrated and not that great.  Why would you do that?

Terra on Crockett street is closing.

Not many of the older restaurants are left.

Just had a sausage & Canadian bacon from the Mama’s in Kennedale on Bryant Irvin thanks to the other thread, pretty damn good.

Do not waste $5 on the Mama’s sub, that shit was comically sad.

Spending a long weekend in Fort Worth for the game, any places a must do on Sunday? Two adults with a day off from kids. All we have planned is sleeping in and del frisco double eagle for dinner Sunday night.

I’ve tried reading this multiple times. Mama’s in Kennedale on BI?

Guess you’re not seeing the strike-thru?

That’s how it looks on iPad Safari.

Start here for the Kennedale reference, it’s our new FW meme.

Terra on Crockett Row closed its doors. I used to bartend there one night a week 6-7 years ago. Place made its bones on the lunch buffet so nights were dead and I made absolutely no money, but it was worth it for the free Saffron Chicken I ate 5 days a week.

Good days

If you like zoos...ft worth zoo is a top 5 zoo in the usa

Would you really recommend that on his day OFF from kids? Thinking he’s wanting a little bit older activities.

If museums are your thing then hit up one or all of them. All close to each other and world class.

Did Buttons go to shit? I'm here for lunch and there are only 2 other people eating.

I think the chef and ownership parted ways or something along those lines.

This plus I dont think it's ever really been a midweek lunch kinda place.

Did the family court give the chef the customers in the divorce ?

alright.  got lunch plans for saturday now.  thank you

Went to BBQ on the Brazos, and it was meh. Definitely not what I remembered from like five years ago. The cutter didn't know the difference from fatty and lean. I asked for a quarter of each, and all i got was lean. Lean was just alright, good bark and flavor, but not very tender. Couldn't cut it with a fork. Line was 40 deep around 11:30. They were out of ribs by 11:55. More wouldn't be ready till after 12:30. I'm guessing all the call in orders dominated the ribs. Lots of peeps coming in for pick up. And they were out of sausage. Something about losing power last night. anyways.... I'll give them another shot soon.

May need to hit up Dayne's tomorrow to make up for eating avg bbq.

You most have been on an off day, I thought is was damn good and had a bunch of people say the same thing. Ribs were definitely the highlight. Picked up at 10am on Saturday with no problems. Two people did break plastic forks trying to cut the brisket though, lol. That may just be a reflection of my cheapness when buying single use cutlery.

I must have been there on a different off day.  Because it was pretty meh.  About 6 or so months ago
