2018-19 Houston Rockets Thread of running it back (mainly)

Featured Replies

Harden is on another planet right now and right now is the perfect time to improve the roster for the long haul and playoffs, at some point he will hit a wall and will need help if morey has a realistic expectation for a title.

38 and counting for James. He’s becoming the entire Buffalo bills organization before our eyes.

Ho hum. Another 40 point game and win

I hate you for that.

Can James do it again on Thursday against the Warriors? Would be nice to get Eric Gordon back for that tilt.

He's playing out of his mind right now, I am very impressed.  He is basically almost unstoppable in iso on the top of the key.  I only hope he can pace himself for the playoffs without burning out too early.  I had Giannis as MVP for a long while now, but Harden is streaking right up there.

big 4 game stretch coming up starting tonight: @ golden state, @ portland, vs. denver, vs. milwaukee.

if harden keeps up his recent stretch of play through these 4, he's probably the mvp front runner a week from now.

This is winnable, which is surprising to me. I thought GS would dominate this game at home, but they do not look as good as past years. If our defense was a little better we would be up 10+.

fuck you warriors!  fuck you NBA!

Nothing like beating the Warriors and the refs during the same game

Un-fucking-believable

GSW at full strength and Harden still beat them

MVP

how in the motherfuck do they miss that shit?
How do they miss that OB call? Ridiculous
That's one of the worst missed calls I've seen in a long time.

harden has no ceiling goddamn. How does he get better every year??

We went from 2nd to last in the western conference to #4 and in position to host a first round in just a few weeks.

That’s got to be the all time worst missed call I’ve ever seen.

And I’m not a spring chicken. Seen a lot of bad calls.

But, Got Damn.

His shoes blend in with the paint, anyone could have mistaken it.

4.5 games behind the best record in the NBA with 45 games remaining. Horrific start seemingly erased with the cavalry rejoining the team in the next week or so. Best of times. Keep it going.

Harden. Is. Not. Human. Wow.  He's carrying so much load right now and just straight up dominating.  Very impressed, and the refs tonight are probably relived because that missed OB call was really horrific at a bad time.  Great game overall.

Holy fuck that was ridiculous. M. V. P.

He hit it in Draymond’s eye, got fouled with no call and looked right over at him while on the ground and yelled “Motherfucker!”

That was incredible. 9 straight with 35+ and 5+ assists. MVP moment early in the season.

Austin Rivers tho

I'm coming around him. He's bought in and become a team player.

How long can Harden sustain his blitzkrieg performance? Hope Eric Gordon and CP3 are back soon. Want Harden to save some of his lightning in a bottle for the playoffs.

After the Warriors loss to the Rockets tonight, they became 156-2 after leading by 20 in the Steve Kerr era.

Incredible performance. I’m so glad I stuck through watching that game late last night. Harden’s game winning shot was incredible. Pleasantly surprised with Austin Rivers and the rest of the bench is coming into shape. The refs not calling the ball out of bounds against the Warriors with Durant completely in the yellow paint was the most ridiculous ref fuckup against the Rockets since the refs didn’t start the clock against the Jazz at the end of the game in the playoffs back in the day with Gene Peterson going ballistic. One of the all time Geno moments and we still won.

what was the largest deficit, 18 or 20??   Green, House and Rivers had very good games (aside from sounding like an enviro friendly company).

Rockets were down 73-53 1 minute into the 3Q.

Harden is the best player in the game right now, he has taken the mantle from Lebron. Lebron has never done what Harden is doing this season. It was bound to happen sooner or later.

I'm liking where the depth of this team might be heading. The guy I would like the most is Joe Harris and his 48% 3P shooting, but with House having 3 very good games in a row now, he might have bought himself some more time as the starter. Ennis didn't look fully healthy last night, and Gerald Green started slow but ended up having a nice scoring night.

PG - Paul(hurt), Rivers, Knight

SG - Harden, Gordon(hurt), Green

SF - House, Ennis(hurt), Green

PF - Tucker

C - Capela, Nene

I guess they could also use another big behind Tucker, though Ennis would probably slot in there when he gets full healthy. Right now PJ and Harden are playing way too many minutes.

Anyone else still hard from last night? Should I go to the doctor, or...?

Nah. Save your deductible. Still got the Texans tomorrow.

Minnesota T-Wolves can Tom Thibodeau. It will never happen, but I would love to have him here as an assistant coach.
