February 25Feb 25 Author My crew lucked into some good lottery tickets for the shows at Moody in late June. Anyone else going?
March 10Mar 10 I'll be there. I've only attended one Phish show -- at the Sphere. Will be tough to beat that experience.
March 22Mar 22 I’ll be there. Got section 116 both nights through lottery. I’ve hit nearly 50 shows since 3/6/93 at Liberty Lunch and agree they’ve lost a step, but f’n a so have I. Hard to describe what a constant joy Phish has been in the soundtrack of my life. Not entire shows, but from a music standpoint, here’s some highlights from my lens:Simple 8/6/17Drowned 12/31/95Ghost 7/21/97 and 11/17/97Gin 11/7/96 (second half jam such a gem, hard to believe it’s improv)2001 6/14/00Jibbo/2001/DWD 9/29/99Blaze On 8/6/21Light/GoldenAge/Reggae Woman 6/26/16Mr Completely 8/4/21Chalk Dust 8/31/12
March 22Mar 22 I could pick at things here and there too, but that doesn't do me or anyone else any good. I was there for the best of it in the 90s, and I'm still in it for the overall good time I've had while I'm at the shows. LOL at "doesn't have the chops." Yeah, he's older just like we are and some of the speed is gone, but he's not in Dead & Co. territory just yet. The dude still can flat out rip it. And I'll reiterate, I was there in the 90s too. So I understand the generality of where you're comingWell said. 94-97 were the glory days for sure. At the same time, 50 year old me loves the melodic cohesive, albeit exploratory jams across both types 2 and 3 from last 15’ish years. I get bored with some of the frenetic and spastic meandering from early immature phish. Bakers dozen Simple is perfect example of glorious old man phish imo.
