Watched eps 1 and 2 ;ast night.  Definitely liked it.  I thought their ability to put the ship back together in a couple of days after being totally fucked up by the jawas was a bit of a reach, but whatever.

I have spoken.

  • In June of 1977, I took a certain college girl out to dinner, and then to see "A New Hope" for our first date.  We hit it off pretty well.  Tonight, we watched the season finale together.  We laughed,

  • I don't give one fuck about the opinions of people who think Rian Johnson made a good Star Wars movie.

The little "I have Spoken" dude who can fix anything reminds me a lot, especially the voice, of Mayans MC version of Edward James Olmos.

I loved the 80s style montage during the fixit scene.

Also I’ve determined I can’t watch this with the wife. “Why is he mad at the Jawas? What egg are they talking about? Where’s he going now?”

Watching with kids is great though.

Exactly.  I watched it with my 16 yo son.  He was into it.

My wife was fine to watch it with. I just àsked her to just watch and save all questions until the end when I'll look it up online to see what it all means. Episode 2 was very self explanatory though.

She asked as she looked up from her phone.

Lol my wife told me to stop geeking and be quiet as I’ve been “ohhh”ing and “ah-ha”ing through both episodes. So I have to sit there quietly and then we talk afterwards

Da duh did the force do to Gizmo?

I’m only 22 mins into episode 1, but it’s pretty bad ass to see Oberyn in another fighting role. Catching a ton of Eastwood in this character, if you will.

He’s handsome and the ladies love him, but yeah, having watched each episode a few times, totally young Eastwood vibe.

Pretty serious Native American vibe in that character.

He was voiced by Nick Nolte.

How do I reach these Mandaloriiiiiiians?

White privilege.

Dave Filoni is the spirit of Star Wars, dude gets it. As long as he is on board I feel like Canon will be strong and the stories could get stronger

I would take a fucking bullet for mini Yoda

Well, that was all kinds of bad ass.

So will they still be able to track him or is the baby Yoda on board sign a dead give away?

Should be a bump in the stock prices of all larger companies selling lotion, as well as Kleenex.  Will probably be a million fanboys that called into work sick this morning, or at least came in late.

These three episodes together are far better than any Star Wars made since the '80s,

Funny how The Mandalorian is the first Star Wars production since A New Hope to feature characters that have never been seen before.

And the lady that directed this is the director of the Obi-Wan series.

Would have loved seeing a Gungan roasting on a spit.

I shouldn't bash Jar Jar, he's the only one with a character arc in Phantom Menace.

When I was a kid, I was really into Louis L'Amour, and todays' episode reminded me of "The Sackett Brand", which is probably a reference not many will get.

If you have an airplane tracking app...look for this flight. Mrs. Tailgate saw it around Austin this morning.

Apparently Disney paid United to paint a Star Wars plane. But this addition to the flight track apps is pretty cool.

Shit, I was wrong.

The ice cream maker from Empire Strikes Back is in The Mandalorian.

I'm surprised more people don't watch during the day on Friday.  Anyway, episode was awesome.  Makes me hate that subhuman cum mop Rian Johnson even more for fucking up the sequels.

JJ and Kennedy are the ones ultimately responsible - JJ left no hard outlines or characters, plots, etc., and she Kennedy didn't have him (or others) sketch out a 3-movie arc/universe.

These episodes are a good watch over breakfast or lunch.

I’m not following you. Weren’t there new characters in every movie?

Or are you saying it’s exclusively new characters?

Exclusively new characters.  Filoni and Favreau made the decision, at least so far through 3 episodes, not to have any characters that have been seen elsewhere.

And it's working out great.

I'm digging the idea that perhaps the Mandalorian decided Baby Yoda was a foundling.

All I'm saying is the fact that Favreau didn't get total control of the prequels, sequels, rogue one, solo and whatever the fuck else in the star wars universe is a tragedy on a level that I can't comprehend

If he hadn't kept leaving all those needy messages on George Lucas' answering machine...

I want to see the rest of the series before judging. I’ve been burned before. But I hope the next five episodes are as good as the first three.

Babynotyoda is awesome.

Maybe Mando can teach baby Yoda how to speak correctly?

Episode 3= boner

That and my dog started howling to the theme around when he was getting his armor made..

I got the cam ready, played the scene again, alas she just growled a bit.
