July 26, 20232 yr I am still laughing at Frank shoving chili into the bowling ball hole and then later rolling it down the lane. I really wish that the rest of the episode featured a lane with chili splattered all over the place though.
July 27, 20232 yr lol finally watched the finale, fuckin Keyser Soze ending. bowling was probably the best ep but that was a good one. I also love any instance where one character is separated from the gang and we just get glimpses into whatever scheme they've got going on back at the base. Suburbs episode where they're all wearing russian fur hats and Dennis/Mac can't figure out why is one of the greatest jokes in the series.
May 19, 20241 yr holy shit this is amazing. whoever made this absolutely nailed it with all of the references. “bird bitches” has me dying. 😂
May 20, 20241 yr i love thinking about all of the people from wales/the uk/ireland who’d never seen always sunny before rob and ryan took over wrexham, and imagining their reactions when they see what wrexham’s new hollywood owner has been doing for a living for the past couple of decades.
January 10Jan 10 So the Abbott Elementary bullshit costs us at least one episode, right? 5 episode season incoming. Edited January 10Jan 10 by billfromlaketravis

No, there’s going to be an IASIP version of the crossover too The next season of Sunny hasn't premiered yet, but have you guys already shot the crossover? Do you know what that's going to look like yet? SCHUMACKER: Yeah, it's been written, it's been shot. I was present for quite a bit of it, and it's very cool. The ideal viewing experience will eventually be watching these two episodes back to back, even though I don't know if they've even solidified their date yet, but eventually, they're going to end up on Hulu together and it'll be very easy to access both of them back to back. They do very much play off of each other. Okay, so this episode's very self-contained. They could easily leave Abbott and never be heard from again. Is there a clear throughline between the two episodes besides the characters entering each other's worlds? HALPERN: Their episode is what's happening in between our episode in the scenes that we're not showing. You're seeing what they're doing. It's really clever the way that they piece together their episode. It's really ambitious. SCHUMACKER: There was a lot of trust between both writing staffs and producers in each other's ability to capture the essence of each other's shows. When we were breaking our episode, we had to send the Sunny team a rough beat sheet before we were able to write out the entire script. They had to start working on their episode a little bit early because their episode with our cast was the first one that they shot in their production order. Edited January 10Jan 10 by Js1
January 11Jan 11 Started the Abbott crossover episode last night and couldn’t make it all the way through. Awful.

January 11Jan 11 I didn’t think it worked but I’m happy that I watched. Also thought they missed an obvious chance to let Charlie exercise his bird law expertise with the endangered egg thing. Edited January 11Jan 11 by 'stache

Completely agree. Mixing two very different types of comedy just made the whole thing horribly awkward.

June 19Jun 19 Looks awesome! I expect the Sunny side of the Abbott crossover to be far more Sunny (ABC v FX, light humor vs dark humor). But even tame Sunny is better than most things out there these days. The Golden Bachelor things looks like a great vehicle for Frank to be Frank, lol. Edited June 19Jun 19 by 'stache
July 9Jul 9 While I’m excited for the premiere, I’ll have to arch it tomorrow. Last night to catch F1 in IMAX near my house.
July 10Jul 10 I love this show. The Sunny side of Abbott was pretty good but the second was classic Sunny. It felt like it would have fit in several seasons ago. Spoiler Fuck me with an idea! Give me an idea and fuck me with it!
July 10Jul 10 the first one was fine, i doubt i’ll ever watch it again, but the second one was really good.
July 10Jul 10 The main redeeming quality of the first one was seeing the Abbott crew use cable network language I did not expect to hear Jeanine say cunt
July 11Jul 11 The Abbott episode was terrific until they introduced Barbara and Melissa. Still an A level episode. It’s amazing how watching 3 seasons of Abbott will make you appreciate the show more. Edited July 11Jul 11 by billfromlaketravis
July 18Jul 18 episode 3 was a total dud for me, it was all over the place. parts of it were satirizing the bear, parts of it seemed to be satirizing that 911 show that rob lowe is on, and i just straight up didn’t get the whole peppers deal. not an episode i’m dying to watch again.
July 18Jul 18 These three have all been great for me. Maybe not all time eps but pretty classic Sunny, moreso than most of the episodes last season.

The last two especially have felt more like the earlier seasons. The Lawyer was great as always. Looking forward to some more appearances from series regulars.
July 24Jul 24 I really liked episode 4. I wish HBO let them use the Succession theme song. The mash up didn’t work as well. The Succession like discussion in Paddy’s office was hilarious and a well executed parody.
July 25Jul 25 I felt I was missing a reference and I guess it was succession. I still laughed a lot. Enjoying this season.
July 25Jul 25 I've never seen Succession. I thought it was just riffing on corporate catchphrases and serving up the sacrificial lamb.
July 25Jul 25 Still working my way through this series. On Season 8. The last couple of episodes of season 7 were fire.
