December 14, 20187 yr Agree on Patriot S2. Great. I really wish they'd make a season 3 of Alpha House. I kept hearing rumors about maybe. That show killed me.
December 14, 20187 yr I'm way late to the "Sneaky Pete" party, but 3 episodes in, I'm very hooked and so is the wife. Perfect role for Ribisi and even the unknowns in this show give killer performances... No clue how this all ends up but, again, very hooked.
December 14, 20187 yr Sneaky Pete is fun but very unrelastic (none of the characters have ever heard of google). Should have set the show in the 1980’s.

It felt like a network TV show but I never made it through the first season and I’m told it improved. Also consider Bosch. It’s been recommended many times for good reason. I tried Justified, but couldn't get past the first 30 minutes.
December 15, 20187 yr Just binged S1 of Detectorists thanks to this thread. Great show, I really liked it, but it's probably not for everyone. I don't know that I'd even call it a comedy, really. It definitely has funny moments but it's more just a heartfelt show about two average Joes.Farmer Bishop cracked me up in every scene though. That guy was great. Also, I have a crush on Becky.
December 15, 20187 yr I tried Justified, but couldn't get past the first 30 minutes.Keep going. The first handful of episodes are more procedural and the weakest of the series.Once they get to the serial, continuing storylines it’s amazing.Season two is up there as one of the best seasons of a television show ever for me.Plus, Raylan Givens is sexxxxxxyyyyy.

December 26, 20186 yr Watched Perfect Bid about a price is right nerd... fun quick watch, recommend if you ever watched the show. Interesting behind the scenes kinda stuff too.
December 26, 20186 yr Sounds like I need to check out The Detectorists and drop MMM and Catastrophe all together.I can’t recommend Detectorists enough, just one of my favorite shows ever...
December 26, 20186 yr I can’t recommend Detectorists enough, just one of my favorite shows ever...Ok. Watching Barry now but not sure I like it.

December 27, 20186 yr Ok. Watching Barry now but not sure I like it. Barry is great. Henry Winkler is fantastic.
December 27, 20186 yr It’s like watching 24 all over again - Jack Ryan/Bauer finds every major clue in the investigation while teleporting back and forth from DC to Europe and the Middle East.

January 4, 20196 yr You Were Never Really Here is interesting. Lynne Ramsay is quietly assembling a pretty solid catalog.
January 11, 20196 yr I just binged Vanity Fair. Was a very well done historical piece. Think Downton Abbey a century earlier, without the soap opera feel. Some really interesting character development along the way. And casting this as the lead actress didn't hurt either
January 11, 20196 yr Sneaky Pete is fun but very unrelastic (none of the characters have ever heard of google). Should have set the show in the 1980’s. One of the reasons I gave it up after five episodes or so. It was becoming way too ridiculous Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
January 11, 20196 yr Jack Ryan is terrible. My wife and I were laughing at the dialogue and acting. Yeh freaking awful. So much potential for a Jack Ryan series and they went the worst possible route Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

January 12, 20196 yr As someone earlier said Informer is solid. Had a few flaws but the acting was excellent.

January 14, 20196 yr The movie Eight Grade (Bo Durham) was recently added, I believe, this movie could get an Oscar nomination for Best Original Screenplay.

January 14, 20196 yr Gave Detectorists a try based on this thread. I enjoyed it quite a bit, there are some damn funny scenes throughout (watched seasons 1 & 2). Thanks.

January 16, 20196 yr One of the reasons I gave it up after five episodes or so. It was becoming way too ridiculous Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkEhhh. The Breaking Bad premise might be one of the more ridiculous ones ever thought of but it's still one of my favorites. Much more ridiculous than Sneaky Pete. I think a con artist is much more believable than a school teacher who infiltrates the cartel and becomes one of the biggest meth players in the Southwest.

February 13, 20196 yr In case it hasn't been mentioned here, all three seasons of The Expanse are up for free on Prime. If you aren't watching this show you need to be.

I thought he was fine as JR. it’s not like the character is some total badass. He’s pretty badass, but he’s not a Jack Reacher type (book, not the movie!).
