according to the guy in the booth next to me.

He's fixing to break some records.

He's from Texas.

He's earned his own thread (looked but couldn't find one).

Light 'em up Drew.  Go Chaps.

Reppin' the ATX with class.  Good job Drew Brees.

Watched most of his HS games in person as a westlake student. Amazing what he’s accomplished.

He tossed 7 touchdown's against my brother and his fellow secondary partners. Still make fun of him about it till this day.

Probably on another message board

Seems like a helluva nice guy and great QB.  Quite proud of him even though I attended high school over 1,000 miles away from him.

But, seriously, love Drew Brees.

The "booth" next to you?  Are you at a peep show?

He’s lucky for sure. As long as he’s played with no major injuries with a coach that is willing to tailor an offense to what he does, that’s luck. He’s a hell of a a qb.

Were they allowed to date each other or did they have to wait until the end of the season?

Maybe he's at a gloryhole.

These announcers are on Hill’s jock all game. “The best athlete on the field” “no one wants to race him”

i mean, I get it. He’s white and big and runs, but really?

Someone should tell Miami's medical staff. Quickly. It might be too late.

As Brees was celebrating on the sidelines, soaking in all the adulation, the Miami team doctor was alone, in a dark room, hanging from his ceiling fan.

You act like he dislocated his elbow during the pro bowl or something.

Well, aside from that San diego thing...and Saban turning him down in Miami for Dante Culpepper...

He deserves a better internet forum than this, too, but them's the breaks.

Drew Brees deserves a better mom

Had a friend at Westlake that played with Brees and wouldn’t shut up about him... back when Brees was a backup on JV. “No I’m telling you, this guy is incredible!”.
“Uh huh. Sure.”

I bet he feels pretty stupid now.

How did UT pass on him ?

No chance as a Safety.

He's lucky he wasn't stuck with jeff fisher for a decade.    Which just goes to show that who you get drafted by/end up with is at least 50% of the key to success in sports.

If you tip good enough, Buffalo Wild Wings can work out the same, near closing time... And Drew is all of what Al Bundy wished he.could be in high school...

The guy before him, I think his name was Rodgers, went on to IU. Everyone in Austin thought that was the guy to win state, didnt happen. When Brees took over, it was "theyll be good, but not as good". I believe Brees injured his knee the season before. Brees won state. Guy has been money his entire career.

Jay Rodgers is now the DL coach for the Chicago Bears.

Mackovic was more about recruiting Safeties and having them play QB than the other way around.

Actually, IIRC, that one had Randy Rodgers' finger prints all over it...and Drew was looking towards A&M more so than UT.

Drew's dad played basketball for aggy.  Good for us and for him that he didn't go to College Station.
