Stumbled upon these videos somehow and got sucked in.  Anyone that likes fishing has probably dreamed of something like this and he tells a good story, not just about the pond but about the fish he caught to put in it

Koi and Tang.

Like Sunfish and Ray.

randomly saw this last week.  I think less than a week after completion he had to pump out the entire thing and put in additional drains to prevent rains from washing more mud into the pond.  so much for having a team full of experts on the build.

What the fuck are those videos and why did I watch all of them and why do I want a pond now?

Me too

but weren’t Bonnie and Clyde undersize to keep? Just saying

Yeah, not sure I'd be posting video keeping undersized bass.

Had forgotten all about this until the 1 year update popped up on my youtubes

I just spent 2.5 hours watching all of this. Missed it the first time around. Good stuff. Moby is a badass.

I'm interested to see how his ninja turtles will do.

I built s pond in my backyard in sugar land. It had Water lilies, Koi. A waterfall, and a bridge over it. It was fun to build and looked great, but fuck it was a pain in the ass to keep clean. Fuck that shit never again.

My Grandfather built a big enough pond to fish in for his house S of Shreveport; had a divider levee between the high side (smaller one) & lower end; the idea was to raise minnows in the smaller, shallow pond.
Ended up being a colossal hassle with the upper pond because it was constantly muddy & would suck your boots off.  Turned out to be one huge mosquito farm.

An old refrigerator flipped on it's back with the doors missing & a plywood sheet over the top was a better idea... raised his own worms.

Skipped all the others & watched the 14 minute "in review" vid.  Good stuff.

seems like the money would have been better spent on hookers and cocaine, but to each his own...

Probably could have done a bit of all of the above. A big hole in the ground for when you're done with the hookers.
