April 8, 20187 yr When Manu’s locked in like that, it’s exciting to watch. A win vs Sac and we’re at least in. What happens after that....Hoping somehow for a home court 1st round.

Hoping somehow for a home court 1st round. What happens after that is that we most likely get run in the first round regardless of who we play. If we do manage to beat one of the second tier scrubs, then we get swept in the second round by the warriors or rockets.

April 8, 20187 yr I have no idea why anyone is excited about making the playoffs this year other than for continuing a streak. We have a zero percent chance at a title or even winning more than one round.

The last 20 years as a cowboys fan makes me understand that's an accomplishment not to be taken for granite.
April 8, 20187 yr Yeah, well maybe we make the playoffs, Kawhi comes back, and we go on a historic run!Really, I just love Spurs playoff basketball. If the Spurs didn't make it, I would most likely not watch any of the playoffs.
April 8, 20187 yr I want Kawhi to return and win at least 10 more titles in San Antonio and we look back on this and laugh..... BUT.... After last night, you might be able to convince me to trade him in a package involving McCollum. That dude can fucking ball, and he has a game that I think will age very gracefully. Evan Turner is probably overpaid but he seems like a guy who would thrive in the Spurs system, too.

We have a zero percent chance at a title or even winning more than one round. At this point, they'd only be able to JUST BARELY miss the playoffs, so there's not a large benefit (<2% shot at the top pick) to doing that. Would be nice to make a little noise in the playoffs if only for Manu's swan song.

April 9, 20187 yr If I were convinced we’d get a star player by making the back end of the lottery, I’d be all for missing the playoffs. I suppose PATFO would, too. But no. Might as well swing for the fences in Round 1 and see what happens.
April 9, 20187 yr I just want the damn season to end. This year has reminded me of a quote from "Moneyball". A bullet to the head or five to the chest and bleed to death. Just end it already and see whats going on with #2. Also, it sucks because Golden State could be bored, tired, and injured (i expect them to go on a tear once the playoffs start, so meh) and this could be more open than we thought. Oh well.
April 9, 20187 yr Yeah I'm on the boat for the Playoffs. Missing it would suck. I realize who we are this year, but winning a first-round matchup would be a nice little ending to the season, and hopefully even give someone a good test in round 2. I'm interested in seeing playoff LMA and what he has to offer, as well as Dejounte growing. The summer could be the end of our foreseeable window if we don't sign Kawhi, so let's deal with that later and just enjoy the playoffs with what we have for now.
April 9, 20187 yr The ONLY reason I want the team in the playoffs is for Manu. He doesn't deserve this shit sandwich of a season. If this is his swan song, grampa juice deserves to at least have a little playoff run
April 9, 20187 yr Pop coaches his ass off in the playoffs. Plus Dejante and LMA need to build that chemistry. We def want Rudy Gay to make the playoffs and re-sign this summer. We all want Manu to ball.

April 9, 20187 yr I realize we're not winning it all this year, but I fucking love me some Spurs playoff basketball more than pretty much anything. Missing the playoffs for the first time in 20+ years would be a huge kick in the junk and I will not stand for it. Edited April 9, 20187 yr by Assman
April 10, 20187 yr So we’re at home in a must-win and down 7 at the half...to the Kings. Might be nice if our “experience” suddenly decided to show up.
April 10, 20187 yr Author They know they have to win this to make the playoffs, right? I don't feel good about having to win on the road Wednesday.
April 10, 20187 yr If you can’t throw it into the SA River from a tourist boat and are going to let the other team shoot nearly 60% on threes, you’re likely to lose. Even to Sacramento. Which is truly inexcusable. Man up.
April 10, 20187 yr My favorite Pop move is when he pulls Dejounte for Tony and the opposing team proceeds to buttfuck the Spurs. Because Tony sucks.
April 10, 20187 yr I’d been wondering where Rudy was. We need him desperately this half. Maybe even Bertans.
April 10, 20187 yr Sacramento will wake up and realize they need to keep pace with the Bulls, who already lost to the Nets today.
April 10, 20187 yr wow some big fuckin titties four rows up from our bench Edited April 10, 20187 yr by kingkoopa6 four

April 10, 20187 yr Rudy Gay with a huge 4th to break open a tight April game vs Sac-town???? At home???? Tough times, but Rudy's been big the last 4 minutes. Never understand why we go with Anderson more than Gay the last 10-12 games down the stretch.
