He's a 33 year old person who's been under the brightest light of scrutinity as the one of THE highest profile athlete in the world for 15+ years......

....and for him to not know the perceived image of a post like that (even if it means diddly squat)......

...ESPECIALLY given his controversial statement just the day before....makes him indescribably stupid.

But his basketball IQ, tho...

Milwaukee is somehow 1-19 on their last 19 attempts from deep and yet they are still only putting distance between themselves and the Knicks.

The New York Knickerbockers have some really terrible basketball players.

That'll be $9.95, please.

At any given time I only knew about 2 or 3 out of their 5 players on the floor.

It’s embarrassing the league puts the Knicks on Xmas knowing Kristaps was hurt and wouldn’t be available....

Seriously how was it not Bucks and Raps? It’s not like we didn’t know they Raps were gonna be good this year.

Fair. NBA fans would certainly tune in though

It's really surreal watching Chris Paul and Austin Rivers on the same team again. Could never quite tell if CP3 was going to congratulate him or sucker punch him heading to the bench.

Draymond Green 2-3 seasons ago defending his ass off every night, battling with--and rebounding over--big men, pushing the pace, using his IQ to distribute like few can, and pushing 40% from 3 was a legit top 10-12 player in the NBA.

Draymond Green today being oft-injured, taking regular seasons off, turning the ball over trying to force things, scoring less than 10 a game, and probably literally shitting himself whenever he has a wide open 3 might not even be a top 30 player.

That sharp drop-off in his game once his athleticism started to wane (that everyone predicted) may be happening sooner than later.

He'll turn it up and play better in the playoffs again, but that payday that he thinks is coming in 2020 probably isn't.

I for one am OK with this.

The Warriors can't even get up for Xmas against Lebron. KD needs to GTFO of there after this season. Nothing left to prove or achieve there.

Demarcus Cousins is not a luxury anymore for the Warriors, but a necessity.

No he isn’t.

Isn't there some sort of unspoken rule in the NBA requiring certain accomplishments before you exceed a certainly % of tattoo coverage? Brandon Ingram is getting dangerously close to Birdman territory.

#1738

It is a little funny to think of the people who paid $60k for a pair of tickets to watch the Warriors take a shit at center court.

#1739

Seriously, when Rondo is locked in and on national TV, it's something to behold. He dicates pace and energy with the best of them.

#1740

You know, the Warriors used to have that extra gear they can get into and run a team off the floor.....but this Warriors bunch just seems.....stale.

Their core of Curry-Thompson-KD-Green-Iggy-Livingston has probably reached their expiration date.

#1741

Just an amazing performance to me from Rondo.  I frankly am not sure I could as a coach want more from a veteran point guard given the circumstances of the star player going out with a young team to fend off a championship team.

National TV game Rondo > any other game Rondo.  It's not even close.

KD leaves, Cousins leaves, they resign Thompson. So back to a few years ago, minus a Center.

Curry, Thompson, Green, Iggy and a spare. Livingston and spares. That team might not make the conference finals next year. They should let go of Thompson and blow it up after this season.

Take LeBron out, and it's amazing how easily it all crumbles.

not tonight, Lakers blow them out at home. What a disgrace!

Cousins will be the decider of the NBA title, if he's on his game, the shooting will improve and GS will coast.  Otherwise, they're in deep trouble unless Klay goes off.

He's been terrible, no doubt.  Most of it is probably rust after coming off injury, along with some uneasiness about his situation and position within the team structure after putting his ass in his mouth with KD.  I expect he'll get better and it really looks like the entire team and organization is bored.  They play listless ball for long stretches with little energy nor edge to their game.  All of their games are down somewhat.  KD is distracted but still putting up All-NBA type numbers.  Steph is hurt frequently.  Draymond looks lost and uneasy.  But Klay, the quiet one, is a problem.  His game continues to decline going on 4 straight years.  People like to put him int eh discussion for top 20 players because he can get crazy hot and put up 50 points, but his overall game consistently has moved to worrisome.  His advanced metrics now paint him as above-average, but not much so and while he's better than an average player, he's much closer to average league starter than elite player.  PER is 14.9, as an example.  15 is considered an average player's.  WS/48 is .051.  League average is supposed to be around .100.  So while you can certainly and justifiably bring up Draymond's contract situation and perhaps disappointment, I'd be scared shitless to pay Klay 25-28 million dollars because while he works seamlessly in their structure, his game continues to decline.... in the reg season and playoffs, which he's never been a great performer.

I completely disagree with you about Klay. Yes, he's having a terrible season for his standards thus far. But last year was the most efficient shooting season of his career, and he's been the most accurate volume 3 point shooter in the league two years running. You know exactly what you're going to get from Klay: shooting, movement, solid defense, and nothing else. The things that advanced metrics like--rebounds, assists, steals...a complete game--aren't his cup of tea.

He'll break out of this slump like he's broken out of slumps in prior seasons. And, while 22, 4, and 2 (a filthy rich man's 3-and-D guy) probably isn't worth $25M+ on most teams/offenses, he is to the Warriors as the perfect compliment to Steph offensively--and someone who takes the pressure off of him defensively. His game should age pretty gracefully as well.
