It was almost as if ESPN producers were playing a joke on him. I watched it live this morning and replayed it a couple times just to make sure I was seeing what I thought I was seeing.

What do you mean by that?

Third time Knicks/Bucks have played each other this month, back2back.

Holy shit..... Harden showed up Brown with a senseless dribbling exhibition and fadeaway 3 so Kyrie comes back does the same thing in Harden's face.  This is hilarious playground ball....

(In a different game), Well, they did get in the face:

Can’t say I blame Giannis, Kantner went a little rough on his follow through after the block.

James Harden is straight balling right now.

I know that his offensive load is a necessity for them, but he’s gonna hit the wall if they don’t find a way to get him some help.

No Paul George for the night... The Thunder need to dig in for a win against the Suns tonite...

What the fuck were the Mavs doing to end the game? How the fuck does Luka not get the look?

I chalk this up to the centuries long rivalry between the Greeks and the Turks. History dictates it.

i get it that you want the ball in your best player's hands at the end of the game, but it's not like DSJ didn't get a great look.  he's gotta make that shot.

I dont think he got it off on time had he made it

He's gone rogue and can't be controlled, is that it?

But, seriously, we're debating the wrong performance from that game. The real topic is, is Anthony Davis human? Discuss.

I would say it's (past) time for the Wiz to blow it up, but they're stuck with Wall and his bajillion dollar contract.

Now the injury too.  What a terrible situation for Washington right now.  Maybe they can completely tank their season and luck into a great draft prospect that ends up a star.

Gotta suck to be in the Wizards organization... knowing Wall's contract is going to destroy their future for the next 3 years, at a minimum.  Wall was never worth it and if he starts breaking down, it's going to be in the running for worst contract in the NBA.

it's just his achilles? no problem, players come back better than ever from achilles surgery all the time, generlly with no lingering issues.

Better? No. (Though how can they get much worse?). Happier to come to work every day? Probably. Everybody's going to get to showcase their talents to other teams.

Well, Wall has a +/- this year of -6.3 vs. -4.8 the Wizards with him off the court.  This year, they are also 3-2 in games Wall didn't play vs. 11-21 with him playing.

Also, last year the Wizards were 20-20 without Wall and only 23-19 with him. So if they are better with him, it isn't by much.

It’s already the worst contract in the NBA and it’s not even close.

yep it would have been pretty close as a reg max.    Super max puts it over the top.   And it actually hasnt even started yet!

Conversely, this shot scores.... Dirk's the best.

LeBron James: Cavs' title 'made me the greatest player of all time'

Quote

When LeBron James reflects back on the Cleveland Cavaliers' first NBA title in 2016, he says that accomplishment allowed him to think of himself as the best player in the game.

"That one right there made me the greatest player of all time," James said in Episode 7 of the eight-part ESPN+ series More Than An Athlete.

The Cavaliers, after falling behind three games to one to Golden State in the 2016 Finals, rallied to win the last three games -- including two on the road, capped by a 93-89 win in Game 7. James scored 27 points and had 11 rebounds and 11 assists that night, and he was the unanimous MVP in the series, his third Finals MVP honor.

Holy crap, Russ. I like you man, but you're crazy.

Why am I not surprised that he associates "most assists" with "best passer"?

Chandler Parsons also says hi. Though, he’s off the books in two years.

There are several centers who are better passers than Russell Westbrook, and he's nowhere close to the best defender at his position.

No. Parsons has played a whopping 73 games and averaged approximately 7 ppg/2.5 rpg/2 apg the first 2+ years of his current 4yr/$94.4 MM deal and will likely be nothing more than a garbage time bench option the rest of this year and next if he plays at all.

Wall’s extension doesn’t even start until the ‘19-‘20 season so arguing his deal is the worst in the league before it even begins is silly.

Do you not understand that the deal is fully guaranteed?   That it hasn't even started makes it worse.
