I feel like Shane has coaching potential down the road and if Tom can help him with that goal, that would be really great.

Our locker room (chemistry) is one of the big reasons we're 6-1.  These guys are bought in and genuinely like each other.

Shane should go to an Ivy League school and get a grad degree while playing two years of football, if that's allowed.

He'd be a good fit there, but then again he might have to pay full tuition unless he got some special grant reserved for grad school students who are also playing sports. (Actually, don't know if grad students are allowed to play varsity sports in the Ivy League.)

Whatever, he should absolutely go somewhere else, get a grad degree, and start for two years. Sticking around to be 3rd or 4th string isn't something that I wish on the guy.

For someone who is not going to the NFL, it is just possible that being a backup with his team, the guys to whom he (honestly, IMO) professes to be so close, might be preferable to starting somewhere else. Akin in a way to the guys who love TEXAS enough to take a PWO here over a scholarship elsewhere. I won't be surprised or disappointed either way.

Just watched it. Very moving.

Good things are happening around here, and I love it.

Hook 'em, my good friends

Add Shane to the Tyrone Swoopes list.  Great kid, for one reason or another wasn't going to be the starter, remained engaged, played his part, stepped up when called on, never bitched about it.  Not the players who will show up on the stats sheet every week, but they sure as hell make our team better.

Can anyone tell me why we have the highest-dollar locker room in the nation yet we always see this pre/post-game messages in front of a shitty tarp?
Because the locker room is for players.
