This right here.  I hope they have a "recap" at the beginning cause I don't remember how it ended or who the characters were at this point.

Yep. Going to rewatch season 2 before moving on to 3

Good news, they give a recap.

walt changes his name and starts building computers.

Aight just watched some recaps on the you tube.
I’m ready. Basically Felix lost control of everyone and got arrested.  Walt CIA had a failed attempt to seize 70 ton shipment and his team got fucked up.  All the families have no one to rule them now so they say this is the start of the Mexican Drug Wars.

I stopped 2 eps in until this weekend when I can watch at home on big screen. So far muy caliente.

Downloaded first 2 eps to watch on a flight later….from El Paso to Houston…perfect timing.

Teresa Ruiz comes back?

Jesus, how much cash does big tobacco pay Netflix?  I swear every character's gotta light up while the camera zooms in on the cigarette and the crackling sound amplifies. Other than that pet peeve, so far so good.

Such a great series.

You know something's good when you struggle between binging and savoring.

You ain't lying. Every character is seen lighting up.

Tell me you're a reformed smoker without telling me.

Finished it up.

Well....Pacho is one intense motherfucker.

Walt needs help.

I'm never going to Mexico again.

Finished Season 3 today- great season- very much enjoyed it.

Agreed that the constant smoking really stood out. At one point there was a scene with the journalist chick washing her hands in a bathroom and my first though was, "I'm surprised she isn't smoking a cigarette even while washing her hands".

Bad news it's even more in Spanish than other seasons. Maybe 90%. Its still worth the watch.

Spoiler

Mexicans speak Spanish.

If you want some background on the stuff happening in this season, check out Narcoland by Anabel Hernandez.

Glad we got the Carrillo Fuentes conspiracy theory at the end.

Great season.  But....

Spoiler

I'm not really sure that the whole serial killer Victor plot line really fit.  Seemed to take away from talking about, you know, narcos and shit.

I think character of Victor was important to illustrate just how hopeless the situation is in Juarez.

Watched the first two episodes on a flight last night from Oregon.  Having trouble deciding whether to savor or binge.

Watched the first episode late last night and I wanted to stay up the rest of the night watching.  Damn this show is good.  I think it's the best drama series going.

I don’t know how that can be the final season.  Chapo is just getting started.

I have 3 left but it’s easily my least favorite season of all the Narcos.

This. I thought they would move the timeline way further

Ha.  Ironically, this series has me pining to get down to Mexico ASAP.

Crazy, magnificent country.

Still love the series but I agree.   Caveat is that the Juarez policeman/journalist plot lines really gave the show a lot of depth.

Almost like season 4 and 5 of the Wire made you realize how fucking grand the whole project was.  I didn't enjoy them as much but made you realize how audacious the series was.

The journalist senorita makes this season all worth it.  mucha fuega

If you know people there or stick to tourist areas its just fine and a fuckton of fun. I'm a giant ginger who sticks out like herpes and no one ever fucks with me down there.

Still an awesome show, but didn't really understand the rogue Mexican cop/girls thing. And the last episode really fell flat for me.

The missing girls of Juarez Has been a big deal for many years.  They made more of an effort this season to show how normal people are hurt by the cartels.

i thought it was unrealistic that one of the arellano brothers was wearing a jordan 45 jersey since it was early 1994.

otherwise it continues to be awesome.

Finished up last night.  It's well done but enjoyed the first 2 seasons more.  This one had so much going on that the narcos were kind of in the background.  I mean Amado pretty much just built a house the whole season and then the last episode gets into some action and dies.

100% this

There’s a pretty good podcast on iHeartRadio on the issue if anyone is interested

“Forgotten: Woman of Juarez”

It deserves its own show, not some minor subplot in one season of Narcos.

Never going to happen.  If I go it will be with the Bexar Cartel - me and my brothers.

Wife was a trooper in Puebla, though, I will admit ("If we go to Mexico again, I want to be at the beach").

The hotel pool bar, and only exploring by day, kept her happy.  ("No, I don't want street food, we have a good restaurant at the hotel."

(Azul Talavara hotel, fyi)

I enjoyed Season 3. I think they could make another season focused on Chapo and Mayo.

I liked Dina’s character, but did a woman really run the Tijuana Plaza?
