Drew Goddard's latest. Saw it today. Beautifully filmed. Strong performances throughout (Cynthia Erivo was a revelation; Bridges & Hamm did solid character work). Big homage to Key Largo. I initially liked its pace & lingering shots --DP Seamus McGarvey works a beautiful palette of modern noir images--but by the third act it was dragging. 2 hours 20 minutes was at least 10 too long IMO.

The premise was great. But in the end it felt like a so-so mashup of a Coen Bros via Tarrantino film. Solid B, but it had the makings of an A with some sharper editing & better developed characters.

He ain't got no time to be doing any galldang searchin'!

Saw it this weekend.  Thought it was predictable and kind of stupId.  Chris Hemsworth is not that good of an actor.  Hamm was good though.
