Questionable holding call (when osu was doing it all night) negated a first down. We didn’t get “lucky”

Nothing questionable about it. They called it a hold, just on the wrong guy.

At least OSU can look back on this season-defining win over Texas  when daddy is skullfucking them by 40.

barry sanders day, homecoming, night game, etc.  they'll get pantsed the rest of the way.

I at least love the fight in Ehlinger. If he'd been able to touch the ball for one more series we would have had a chance.

Ran out of time? That's some aggy shit right there.

Because they usually are.

Yep should have just kicked it away. How often do onsides kicks work anyway? Gotta be pretty uncommon

Disagree. You give your team an extra 20% to recover the ball by trying the onsides kick. And Gundy’s not Mack Where he’s guaranteed to run it up the middle 3 times and punt if you kick it deep.

Locke out of position again.

Bout sums this game up. Upperclassmen playing poorly.

Texas slept on the Pokes and believed their own press clippings.

Started game soft and entitled. Credit OSU for win. They wanted it more.

So we should expect a few of them to sit out the bowl game and declare for the draft early...can’t wait. Also  your post was spot on

Except that play is absolutely critical. It directly lead to an OSU TD and prevented Texas from getting the ball back with more than a minute to play at the end of the half. To ignore how important it was is absurd, particularly given how well the team played in the second half.

Yeah, but we can still stop them.

It's easy to go back and retroactively figure things out this way, and we can all do it on two handfuls of plays... But so can the other team.

It was a bad call, but the refs didn't force our safeties to live in concrete the entire game.

The defensive game plan to try to cover up for the two freshmen corners was picked apart surgically by Gundy and Co., as they diagnosed the loose zone schemes and attacked the lack of force on the edges (something that is impossible with your corners sagging so deep, not to mention they were slow to react and overmatched).

How Texas came out and played in the secondary with their two starting corners on the sidelines is why they got in a huge hole, and why they lost that game.

Yeah, there were some bad calls, but that is every week in the Big 12.

Should’ve used a timeout before the half and did something too rather than slicked into the locker room like losers

Still overturned a first down. We weren’t lucky at all. Again- osu was holding the whole game and only got called for it once and it was an offsetting penalty

I felt like this was coming and now I’m worried we gave Kilff a blueprint for how to play the first half.

Fuck Hager and that weak pussy bullshit. Bench his ass. Only senior that needs to play is Chris Nelson, Calvin Anderson and Andrew beck. Vahe is straight garbage. Locke and Boyd need to ride the fucking pine too.

They were jawing before the play. Hagar went at him hard, but nothing dirty. That's what happens in a football game. Sure, I think Hagar's a paper tiger, but I don't have a problem with that play

Okie lite will do absolutely dick with this win.  They blew their load on this game as if it were their bowl.  The students charged the field?  Wtf.  I'm sure they'll lose some irrelevant game down the road.  Damn shame we played such a poor first half.  Orlando is good but this one is on him.

To be fair, we had them stopped again when gundy didn’t catch us sleeping on 4th and 1, and Boyd was in perfect position but then terribly misplayed the ball in the air wham a bat down was all that was needed.

We played way below our ability at just about every critical position. Sam was good, but he has to do better.

The “purge”

let it happen

That pathetic clip of Herman rushing the field trying to scrap sure is gonna represent Texas in a positive light all week.

Multiple starters missing due to rules violations

Brain dead first half all around, but special mention to the sequence of not stopping the clock with a timeout, followed by a 5 yard penalty on ljh for jogging to the line and not getting there in time, negating a first down run and requiring burning the timeout anyway but only after losing 20 seconds, and then ultimately taking that third timeout to the grave and choosing the to watch the first half clock run out from within hail Mary distance

non-false start fourth down play that instead was offsides to gift them a first down

jones catching a punt that would have been a touchback and running into backwards down to the 2

holding on the ljh first down catch after that

No holding on ok state ever

a never ending series of 5 yard passes and runs in the middle of the field with 4 minutes left, down by 2 scores

some seriously terrible clock and game management overall

trying an onside kick when the team had clearly never practiced one and getting the expected result

not being able to stop a forty year old receding hairline alcoholic divorced deadbeet dad running in quicksand looking motherfucker on obvious QB runs in huge spots multiple times

that game was not worth watching

I rooted for you Richard.   No hard feelings.

This was a loss, but it wasn't as bad as Maryland. Okie Lite is always dangerous, we were in Stillwater and it was homecoming. We can learn from this. If there's a silver lining it's that it exposed the problem on the coaching side and now that can be corrected.

Also took our sweet time trying to score when we were down by 3 scores...clock management has just been bad all around

Two cracks at it is going to better than none had they actually called the penalty.

And the reason why it's so frustrating is that it's so clearly against the rules. It's absolutely a simulated snap, which should automatically be a flag, but the guard also moved. For them to call it on Texas is just a complete disgrace. I've seen C-USA reffing almost every week with UTEP, and even those guys are better than the people we have in the Big XII.

I don’t disagree but I think he was trying to show rhe players he will fight for them.  A mistake but not totally out there.

Addition by upper classman attrition?

502 fucking yards

At least 1/10th of those by a walk on qb that made our defense look like the Texas School for the Blind.  Just fucking amazing that Orlando had no one assigned to spy him in the next to last series.  But those yards before that play let me know OSU was not going to lose tonight.

Brandon Jones played one of the worst games I’ve ever seen a player play on defense but that over the head punt return from our own 3 might take the cake.

Todd Orlando was the problem tonight.

anybody else thinking it’s different is lying to themselves

No shit!   First half play calling was way too conservative but that’s on Herman also

Defense made the OSU QB look like fucking Vince Young on several zone read plays. He might be as tall as Vince but at least a full second slower tha Vince. That's how wide open he was...

I just hope that the team has some fire against The Holgobillies.

This was so many fails on so many levels.

Whatever you say Lombardi.

Lombardi's

defense would not fall for that stupid QB keeper more than once in game however.

We fell for it every fucking time and it cost us the game.

Orlando is an idiot.

Two weeks to prepare for a wounded team in a hostile environment with maybe three difference makers on the entire offense.

We were completely unprepared and shit the fucking bed on defense.  Regardless of questionable officiating, we fucking handed these idiots a win on missed tackles, shitty defensive alignments, and terrible pass defense.  We deserved to lose on sheer ineptitude and our inability to make adjustments.

If we can't be consistently good on both sides of the ball, then we are not good.  We are good at times, but we made way too many mistakes......the coaches have a lot of work to do.  Our players didn't seem like they were ready to play tonight.

I have no problem whatsoever with Herman screaming at the fucking refs. He went into half mad as hell and he and the team came out in the second mad as hell. Kudos to Herman for that. Get mad. Kick some player's fucking butt.

Wasn't it Royal who said he'd rather  have an angry player, or something like that?

Man, there are some seniors on this defense that I am not going to miss next year, starting with Hager.

The QB run on the last play seemed like such an obvious call.

Boyd got absolutely abused, dropped one INT, and gave up a TD on what should have been an easy INT.

The phantom hold to make us punt out of the end zone and whatever that bullshit punt penalty were awful calls that directly led to 14 points.

The secondary next year has to be better with the young guys getting more experience that what we have out there now.

This team isn’t that talented. Good to Average talent will get beat if they don’t play sound football. The team looked like they thought they could just show up and win.

This team is very far off from showing up and winning football games.

And it seemed like he was the "safe" option after they stopped trusting Jamison.

This sucked but we’re ahead of schedule this season imo. Anyone on here would have taken this season prior to it’s start given the recent history. We still have some seasoning and talent infusion left in front of us but we are close. These games happen. We’ll survive these games going forward once the rebuild is complete. We almost did tonight, in spite of ourselves. We’re going the right direction as a program imo.
