Also mentioned we need to get +1 to the run game... which we certainly didn’t do Saturday. And even when we had a numbers advantage, we fucked it up

A: don’t know but TO and Herman started looking at it yesterday

Yeah, that's coach speak.  Would you prefer him say we've been trying to figure it out all season and have no fucking clue?

Yes and no.  On the first one we had guys in position to make the play but they were too physically weak.  On the second one every one in the stadium knew it was coming and yet our overhang defender (nickel) crashed inside.

Against WVU, we’re gonna have to be able to run the ball. There is an element of game management to keep the WVU offense off the field. But also we need to score points and don’t expect this to be a low scoring game.

Herman gets fairly criticized for many of his answers in these pressers, but both of these are great answers to address potentially tricky situations.

Wasn’t asked and not discussed today

Nothing joking about that. That stadium is a hazard.

We need to beat the shit out of them next year.  They have gotten as bad as our previous purple team curses.

I think this is part and parcel of him getting better at these overall.

He is much more comfortable up there and it shows. (I am sure that winning 6 in a row helped this, but even so)..he is not nearly as defensive nor arrogant .  His delivery is thoughtful and honest and not condescending....... and not just coach speak...I like the way these go now.  (not excusing the ass kicking he and we took on Saturday, but there are a hundred other threads about that..this small part of his job seems to be smoothing out a bit)

Don’t think it will affect his speed ... I hope.

Speed?

Can't believe no one asked him why we keep deferring the coin toss when we can't stop a junior high team on opening drives. And the lack of a pass rush unless we blitz all 11 guys.

I wish we had not chosen to kick off in the first half against OSU this game. I know I and many other fans have called for tempo, but this was one game where we could have benefitted from making a conscious effort to chew up clock during the first quarter. Imagine if the Pokes only had two series to exploit Boyce and Cook instead of four.

Current Vegas line shows Texas favored by 2 1/2 points

Fucking why???

I knew about Acho, but I was unaware that there appears to be some ankle biting going on between current players. Which isnt necessarily a bad thing, I just wasn’t aware of it.

Not if you're trying to make the college football playoff, Tom.

I'm a Texas Fan......

But this current Longhorn Team is not a Top 10 caliber group. With their remaining B12 schedule, this Team still has a fair shot to make B12 CCG if they play exceptionally well against West Virginia this Saturday. 🤘

So maybe they'll figure it out by 2023.
