A linebacker on the Rutgers University football team was accused Tuesday of involvement in a plot to murder two members of a friend's family, authorities said.

Izaia Bullock, 22, a junior at the university from Linden, faces two counts of first-degree attempted murder and two counts of first-degree conspiracy to commit murder.

Bullock was dismissed from the Rutgers football team Tuesday, and the university said in a statement that he will face disciplinary proceedings.

pretty much never a good time for Rutgers athletics.....even when they do well you know it is fleeting and they will fall off to 2-10 in football or 10-23 in basketball in a season or two......then there is the shitty budgets and the scandals

Hope this disruption doesn't send their football season into the crapper

Not a good year for the b1g, period.

MSU - Nassar,  tOSU - Spousal Abuse/coverup,  Md - Killing players,  Rutgers - plans to kill.  Corn - killed their FB program.  What else?

Well, at least that's a positive. At A&M, attempted murder would only get you suspended for the first quarter against Southwest New Mexico Tech.

If I played football at Rutgers I might plot to murder someone too.

Might as well add in Pedo State from yesteryear and overall bad look for the B1G in general.   And to think they look down their collective noses at the $EC.

Welp, this guy was using his inner OJ...

Miami was always better at this type of thing...

and UF of course

Yeah, I think Lewis for UM & Hernandez for UF have set the bar high...

Lest we forget the myriad of players at shitlahoma that had similar transgressions overlooked because of their football "skillz"
