I know it's not winter yet, but this doesn't really belong in the Rain thread.  It's going to get chilly next week.

Probably first overnight freeze in ATX next week.

I want this thread to go over 100 pages. Gonna need some snow this year. Crossing fingers. Knocking on wood. Throwing salt.

Be nice to have a Thanksgiving that is not 85 fucking degrees.

Lubbock forecast for Saturday is 54 for the high and 36 for a low.

17 MPH Winds

Duck weather for thanksgiving please.

My winter bush is just about grown in, the boys will be ready

Bought fucking time for some cooler weather.    It was 75 here in Houston at 7 am.   fuck that

You heard me... We have a series of cold fronts coming, beginning today.  This one will drop temps 20° for Thursday's high, about 65°.  Another one late Friday takes about 10° more off of temps... weekend in mid-50's.  Then Monday night a third one comes  and shaves 10° more off.. highs in the 40's.  Overnight lows during this run will go from 60's (last night) to 40's (next 3-4 days) to upper 30's (Mon. night).  Tuesday is supposed to be cold - 46° - and clear.  The "clear" part as you know will play into the overnight... when the sky is clear, heat dissipates (isn't trapped by clouds) and temps go down more.  Overnight lows in the city are going to be 33°-35°, but in the 'burbs and outer areas, definitely for some a light freeze is going to happen.  Nothing pipe bursting but yeah - for a few hours - a freeze.

That's surprising?  Average first freeze for Austin is Nov. 28, so yeah this is a little early, but certainly not unheard of by any stretch.

The surf has been great this summer and fall, hoping it continues in the winter. Winter is typically the best time for gulf coast surf anyway. Not looking forward to wearing a wetsuit soon.

Galveston hasn't been having the daily morning sea fog which is nice.

It's going to be 85 today in austin. Enjoy it, don't let the door hit you on the way out.

T's and P's to MNLonghorn.  Gonna get close to zero in Fargo this weekend.

Headed to Northern Minnesota next week for a four-day work trip.  High for the duration of the trip is forecasted at 25.  My employees are freaking out and acting like we're going to Antarctica for a month.  I reassured them our meetings are not outdoors and they'll be just fine.

So, normal MN weather?

Little early for these temps but certainly not breaking records.

Have my first fire in the fireplace tonight. Chance of snow the next couple of days.

Shit we've been using the fireplace sporadically for a couple of weeks now.  Basically any time it gets into the 50s or below.  The dogs like it.

My weather app is claiming at least two freezes in Austin this week, including small chances of snow.

Should we make a run on HEB now?

Two possible freezes in Houston this week, and ABC13 is freaking the fuck out.

Just started raining HARD here in 78613 near 183/620. And the temp is only gonna keep dropping over the next few days.

Shit's here.

ATX Today:  front comes in between now and after lunch.  Windy and temps dip all day.  40's by dinner time.  Overnight freezes all around Austin, city itself  might escape it.  Lows about 28°-30° around the region.

Tomorrow: slow clearing, cold, blustery but sunny day.  Nighttime hard freeze around ATX, temps mid 20's outside of city, about 28° in city.  Pipes, plants, all that shit.

Ain't no icy weather anywhere near Austin, probably nowhere SE of the Panhandle.

Wednesday on, temps climb back, 60's to 70's by weekend, sunny, welcome back mild fall... for now.

I’m headed to Chicago/Milwaukee, Boston and Minneapolis this week alone.

Hiting quadfecta of coldness.

We actually had some snow flurries at about 7:20 this morning. Nothing that stuck to the ground but enough to see in the air. (78730)

Here is something you don't see very often in November in SE Texas.

file.php?id=14697&mode=view

My seventh-grade daughter has grown about 4 inches this year and we have yet to buy her new winter clothes, so she went to school today in shorts.  #parentfail

Got some flurries in Oak Hill this morning.

That is all.

End communication.
