I suspect Long will need to be reined in at some point this season, but today we absolutely needed his aggression. Good for him.

Hayes is is just something else as an athlete. Never seen anything like him. He's not quite as fast, but he reminds me of LeBron. Freak.

Or as strong ... or as skilled ... in fact, the more I think about it, the more I realize he's nothing like LBJ.

Just joshin' ya, bruh.

His hops and reach remind me of Rick Barnes

Shaka was rotating a lot in that half and that was without Roach, Jones and Hamm.

Think he realized that he needs to play more guys this year so we’re fresh.

We will see if that continues but this is a game where you need to get the freshman minutes.

I'm not going to judge the first half too strongly. First game of the season and all that.

What I did not like was the missed free throws from Febres and Osetkowski. I did like that Osetkowski was generally in better control, and that all of the freshmen who played showed their ability early.

Once this team starts to gain some  comradery they will be a fun team to watch. No doubt about the natural athleticism and skill on the team.

These freshmen are legit. I mean, it's EIU, but the fact that we extended the lead with them is still impressive.
