May 15May 15 Author I was drinking beer and eating a burger at 2pm on a Thursday. No stress lol. It’s mushed because I has just cut it half.
May 19May 19 Not a burger but posting because Crown & Anchor. Frito Pie for lunch today and it was fucking delicious... After that I walked over to Posse for another beer
May 27May 27 I never made it by because $20 for a double smashburger and fries just didn't seem that compelling when I have the Crown, Billy's, Workhorse, Dirty's and a couple other places all within the same distance. I doubt anybody is really surprised by this development.
June 13Jun 13 They posted a special I really want to try: This month’s burger of the month is a true homage. It’s a Cuban sandwich with a burger in the middle. Roasted pulled pork, sliced ham, deli pickles and mustard would have been enough, but we added our burger and pineapple chutney. Now it’s a Jewboy Cuban (Yes, I considered calling it the Jewbano, but I might be saving that one for the Sub Shop.)
June 13Jun 13 I don't remember seeing anything on here, but I had a burger a Specs @ Arbor Walk and it was amazing. Good fries too.

June 16Jun 16 There were long lines for several vendors - NABC, La BBQ and Jewboy off the top of my head, but overall, pretty short lines and very little wait. I gorged myself and didn't have another bite to eat the rest of the day. I will say that it started at noon and was already packed at 12:15 when we got there. $55 seems a little steep to me, but whatever - good time had by all. Didn't eat a single bad bite of burger. The floor was pretty high for quality/taste. Pro Tip: Go inside and snag a tray or pizza box, load up all your sample burgers, and take them all inside to enjoy w/ a beer. We got a spot directly under a Big Ass Fan and it was heaven compared to the zero shade standing in the lines.
June 17Jun 17 first visit to hank's. half price burgers on monday, $7 for a solid diner style burger and fries. at that price it was great but wouldn't pay $14.
June 18Jun 18 This is the burger deal of the century. Seriously good 1/2 pound charbroiled burgers, $3.99 a la carte all day every day. $4.99 with American cheese. The place is called Bon Aire, just west of Burnet and 183. They also have shrimp, a few kebabs, toasted (cheese) ravioli, wings, brats and fries. The fries aren't worth it, get a veggie kebab instead. I'm going for the toasted ravioli next time. (It's a St. Louis themed neighborhood bar, nothing fancy, just a bunch of TVs, some decent beers, and a small menu. No takeout.) Bon Aire

My folks live a block away, the same house I grew up in, and I've met them there a couple of times. Killer deal.

October 4Oct 4 I had a burger at Leroy and Lewis the other day and it's hard to imagine anyone in Austin making one better than that.

October 7Oct 7 Anyone remember a burger place at 2244 and 360 from the mid 2000s? They had the best jalapeno burger and they didn't last long past 2008 but I can't remember their name.

October 7Oct 7 Author Yeah I live right around there and don't remember any other burger place unless it was one of the many restaurants that have populated the HEB anchored center at that intersection. There was a brewery behind the Hat Creek Burger Co. a few years back. But I don't remember them having food.

I think it was a EZ's Brick Oven and Grill or something like that
