Pretty much.  That looks a little more jumbo sized than mine was, but yeah.

I’m telling your doctor on you.

Only ate one slider and we brought half the rings home to split with the other two for dinner today.

Had the burger at Leroy & Lewis today....holy hell!  Sorry no pics, but goddamn you should definitely have one.

I saw that on the Austin episode of Somebody Feed Phil and they all bragged about the burger, it’s definitely on the list now.

My wife and I actually have a moment to go grab dinner tonight, and we're thinking about Jewboy Burgers.  Still good?  Any reason to try any of their other menu items (burritos, latke sammiches, etc.)?

It's gonna be hard to pass up the "Oy Vey":  grilled onions, hatch chiles, pepper jack and mustard.  Drool.

Why would you order a burrito or sammich when you could have that? Sounds like you already know what you should do.....

Or wait. Why not order the latke sammich AND the burger?

Just curious what their off-burger items are like.  The genesis of this rare night out wasn't "let's get burgers".

Regardless, I believe you have hit upon the solution.  Burger, latke sammich, AND the burrito.

I still haven't been to Jewboy, but the sandwhich shop is just a bit north of me, and I've always wanted to check it out.  But some friends went last week and said it was pretty average.  Any thoughts?

The sandwich place was just so-so imo. Go to Tucci's or Bella Donna. The burger place is still top shelf.

The burritos at Jewboy are solid.

The cheesesteaks are great at the sandwich shop. Where are they going that makes them so-so by comparison?

Buddy's is solid, and they have beer. Has replaced pterry's for my quick burger spot. Went to the Crown last night, can't beat a burger and $3.50 beer.

Damn good Hickory burger at Cover 3 in Round Rock today. Wife said her onion soup was outstanding. Split the Caesar salad. & the Parmesan fries.
1 house ‘rita for her, 2 for me. Brought half the burger home.
($57+ tip)

Cover 3 burger is solid, but not crazy about that bun. Still, I get my burger fix there from time to time.

Their Reuben is also amazing, but huge - split it with someone.

Was $57 before or after the senior discount?

C3 on Anderson has gone downhill during COVID but it’s still on the regular rotation.

I’ve only gotten a burger once but I don’t remember that bun. I’d send that back.

Went to Mooyah’s this afternoon. Really good as usual, but erred in ordering the “shareable” fries instead of the “personal”.
We only ate half our burgers and 1/3 of the fries. Will have enough leftover for another meal plus some.

It amused me to note that the $$ total was $2 more than our entire first month’s grocery tab when we first started working in Giddings in September 1967.

As much as Brat eats out, I think Social Security payments are too high.

Seems like a bit of a stereotype.

what did $35 in groceries buy back then ?

$32 - Groceries for both of us the entire month.

Those fries at Mooyah’s lasted for two more meals at home.

All of them, I'm thinking.

I like to be at Dirty's when they open. Get a fried egg on my burger, a Bloody Mary, and call it brunch.
