Don't make 'em like Roy, anymore.

Rest in peace.

RIP Roy.  Yet one more fixture from my youth slips away.

RIP Roy.   I miss HeeHaw.

Yep. Great music. Humor. Guest Stars. And spectacular boobs.

I recall Roy having those isolated sessions on HH with guitar greats who he admired.  The first and last time I ever saw Clarence Gatemouth Brown on TV, and the sole reason I have a CD of him.

God bless Roy Clark.

If you guys don't have a copy of The Lightning Fingers of Roy Clark, you should.  It's one of the best country guitar records ever.

Like Jerry Reed, the man never looked as if he wasn't having a hell of a lot of fun.

Damn I missed this entirely until this morning. Certifiable wizard on the strings. Watching Hee Haw as a kid, Roy always seemed like he could have been part of your family. RIP

A week late on this but yeah... dude was a legend and also just a super nice guy.

He was born in Virginia but made his home in Tulsa.  I actually attended Roy Clark Elementary in the Union school district in Tulsa.  He would come every once in a while and take pictures with the kids and what not.  My parents have a pic of me with him when I was in kindergarten but I don't remember it, lol.  /csb
