May 17, 20196 yr There was a clip of him posted recently showing him dancing around. Incredible that this is a guy who is in his mid 70s recently had open heart surgery. Amazing and inspiring. Saw Kiss a few years ago and Paul Stanley has some pretty amazing moves too for his age. Good stuff Edited May 17, 20196 yr by Lhorn

Not that I'd complain, I just recall three hour shows from them and this seems like may be a two hour show.
June 23, 20196 yr Well, they are in their 70's. But, yeah, that seems short. My last time seeing them was at Zilker. Think I'm gonna keep it that way. Good concert to end on.

Good concert to end on. Well, apparently the Zilker show (my last as well) wasn't that much different. Mind playin' tricks on me I suppose. https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/the-rolling-stones/2006/zilker-park-austin-tx-7bd69e3c.html
June 23, 20196 yr I enjoyed the tribute to Waylon, and the humble Austin skyline behind the stage, just before the city went crazy. Also the most chill crowd ever. Walked almost right up to the stage just before they went on. Everyone was relaxed and happy. Also bumped in to Ronnie as we came in the gate. He was there in a smoking jacket, trying to get someone in. (He had a substantial bodyguard with him.) Edited June 23, 20196 yr by Deej
June 2, 20214 yr I'm good if they don't. The biggest issue with seeing them live, now is the fans. "Look at all these old fuckers in the crowd!" "Oh, wait. Fuck!!!" Edited June 2, 20214 yr by Deej

Got tickets from the Head of Marketing for 97.1 KEGL at the time. She also got me a trip up in “Black Thunder” to ride along on the morning traffic. That was really cool..(except having to be at Love Field by 4:15am🥱😴) I consider myself a casual Stones fan. Which is cool because I’m still discovering their “other stuff”. I could probably live the rest of my life without hearing “Start Me Up” again...ugh.

August 14, 20223 yr It's funny that I have actually been thinking about that Tour lately, and all the Steel Wheelchairs jokes, and now with hindsight they weren't even halfway through their career at the time.

July 27, 20232 yr That band will all be deceased in the next ten years. But their rock n roll will live forever.

September 6, 20232 yr The boys are pushing 80 and have a new studio album out next month. The first single.
September 6, 20232 yr Eh, not my favorite, but OK for a bunch of old dudes. Is that Steve Jordan on drums?

September 6, 20232 yr Not bad for a bunch of 80 year-olds, but if that's the best they've got for their first single I'm not all that jazzed up about the album. I think the Surly Music Club might be able to top it.
