UC punts to the UCF 6. UC forces a fumble in the end zone and falls on it for a TD. 7-0 Bearcats pending the XP.

Misses it. 6-0 Cincinnati.

is Cincy > Ohio St?

No but you don't get better on D by losing Luke Fickell from the coaching staff, especially at LB.

Cincy misses the FG wide left. Still lead 6-0.

Come on, Luke. You should know the importance of a good kicker. It's year two. You should have one.

UCF mounts a nice drive. (Hey Luke, keep bringing pressure. Rushing three gave Milton all the time in the world to complete a pass to inside the 10.) UCF scores on a QB keeper, takes the lead 7-6.

Ugh. UC FG is blocked and the Knights return it to the Cincy 22.

Damn. Ran to the bathroom and heard the UCF TD from a distance. 14-6 Knghts. Bearcats better put something together or the route might be on. Still lots of time.

Why the fuck are you watching that game?

So you clicked on a thread to ask people why they are watching a football game....between two top 25 teams.

About a 30 yd pass by UCF. At the UC 23. Offside UC. Starting to get away from them.

UCF has some serious speed

I didn't realize UCF was that big.  ESPN said 60k+ enrollment?   Did I hear that right?

Bearcats get a 4th down stop in the red zone. 10:17 left in the half.

My kid is getting ready to go there. It’s huge. (TWSS).

UC struggling in coverage. It takes three tries but the third pass is on the money for a UCF TD, now lead 21-6.

It looks like UCF could just run that play every down and it'll score 33% of the time.

It'll be interesting to hear how ESPN/commentators deal with the fact that UCF looks really, really good.  It is against their business interests for UCF to be good, so I expect them to post a lot of graphs and charts devaluing UCF's season.

But it's also their prime time game, so...pissing all over UCF would look pretty weird.

If it stays like this, second half commentary will be interesting.

Tough run for a first down by Warren, Herbie and Fowler give only begrudging respect.

I'm really surprised they gave them this prime time slot.  Maybe they are checking to see how many people will actually watch UCF?

If they get good numbers, maybe UCF gets a little more consideration.   Of course they have to win the game...

I think they have the largest enrollment right now. It's a huge school.

Texas vs Iowa St might've been in the prime time ABC slot if not for the uh...thing.

I'd be highly entertained if this game pulled a huge viewership and the longhorn network accidentally proved UCF is a big enough tv draw to get them into a playoff.   I don't honestly think any of that will happen, but the potential for it pleases me.

They’ll be fine. They know how to go undefeated and win conference championships.

Shit. A FG would've been better then a turnover. 21-6 UCF at the half.

  • Author

Welp, UC turned it over on their side of the field. Any chance to get back in the game is quickly fading away.

UCF wide right on the FG attempt. UC can still get back in it if they can get anything going on offense. Chances are still probably pretty slim.

UCF defense looking pretty salty.  They haven't given up a point yet.   Touchdown in the first quarter was a fumble in the endzone.

TD UCF. That should about do it. Tough to see UC coming back from 28-6. But they're closer than the score suggests. Maybe next year.

Cinci QB demonstrating why its probably best to slide when you scramble.

Remember that call because you probably won't hear Fowler say that it wasn't targeting because the ball carrier lowered his head into the line of fire again anytime soon.

Yeah, was wondering how they'd rule that.  Defensive guy definitely lowed his head, but so did the runner.

Here come the graphics to explain why 80% of the college football teams are excluded from the 'playoff' system.

Fuck you ESPN.  Fuck you.  Gonna go back to watching this on the reddit streams.

UCF should apologize to all the teams on their schedule.  Every time they win a game, ESPN is obligated to make a few disparaging comments about whoever they just beat.
