Thinking of opening an account, newbie to sports betting (I’ve only done FFL and daily fantasy to this point.). What tips do you have (besides saving my money)?  Is it still illegal?  Easy to move money in/out?  Most trustworthy sites?

Thanks!

Bovada is pretty easy and has tons of casino games, sports betting etc. Yes, still not exactly legal but pretty much anything available to the public is offshore at this point.

Really easy to move money in and out, although it typically takes a couple weeks to get back when you request a check. They will courier it though if it’s for enough money. When you first setup I think they do an overseas deposit that you need to confirm which may or may not require a call to your bank which isn’t a big deal. Now I can use credit cards, bank account or even bitcoin to deposit.

I’ve had a personal bookie before that had his own website deal and it was not nearly as intuitive or as nice of a platform. If you are lucky enough to be in the handful of states that have legalized sports betting then you can probably play from your phone already by going to casino websites.

Does anyone have a new ones they use? I'm trying Bet Online dot AG - it's okay

I use MyBookie.ag and it’s okay but I plan to move back to Bovada after March madness.  They tend to have more bet options and last time I requested a payout they overnighted me a check.  MyBookie is okay but not great.  If you’re in a state that allows it there are onshore options that have better odds.  That’s all I got.

I use DraftKings and Fanduel sportsbooks.  I think DraftKings offers better odds boosts and promos but Fanduel has the same game parlays, which are fun.  I've downloaded William Hill and BetMGM but didn't like the interfaces.  With that being said, if you are in Texas or somewhere that doesn't allow mobile betting, these are probably not available to you.

I switch back and forth between Bovada and Betonline, alternating when I bust out. At least I did. We got legalized last Friday and I now have mgm, FD, and DK accounts that I will load up depending on promos.

Pinnacle Sports was the best but the UIGEA killed that for U.S. customers.

Fuck Bill Frist.
