SBU: Russians planned to passport residents of Kyiv region with USSR documents

 In the event of the capture of the Kyiv region, the Russian occupiers planned to establish an occupation administration here and organize a pseudo-referendum to proclaim a local republic.

Gonna share this, from one of my minions at work. He's a former combat medic and legit.

  =========

Hi team! For those of you who don't know me, I'm a DevOps Engineer here at [Company where Rimbo works with this guy]. In a former life, I was a former combat medic in the US Army. I have a battle-buddy (Kurtis Pasqualle) I served with from 2007-2009 in Ukraine who I have been working with as much as I can from here in the states. The operation we are running is Operation Cavell. The operation's mission is to provide medical support for the war effort in Ukraine. Phase one of the mission was to set up a field hospital and working evac teams. We've have accomplished that. Phase two has become us working with the Ukrainian government and the University of Kiev to stand up a combat medic school. I am mostly focused on helping with curriculum and materials. The other piece of what I am doing is fundraising. Below you will find a link to a gofundme. We are still in need of funds for medical supplies, transport, and protective gear (armor and helmets). If you could take some time out of your day and either donate to the gofundme or blast the link out to your networks it would be deeply appreciated, and it would contribute directly to saving lives in Ukraine.

If you are interested, I have attached a news article written about this operation as well as some pics from ongoing trainings. There is also a wikipedia link for Edith Cavell (a true bad-ass) who this operation is named for and who embodies the spirit of what we are trying to do.

^Spin off thread, but as a big reader myself, I thought the whole thread was fascinating, y'all should take a look at the entire thing. Either way interesting to see the dominate pop culture in Russia is "Woe is us, we're so great and amazing and yet everybody shits all over us, so let's show them by going back and time and kill everyone."

In the town of Klintsy, Bryansk region of Russia, cotton was found in a military unit. 1/2

 The result in the photo.

^I think what he is saying is, that somebody, sabotaged and set fire to a bunch of military vehicles in Klintsy.

Trophy Russian armored car "Tiger-M" in pixel with a machine gun DShKM.

Good Lord.  They ARE Aggy.

….with less of a grasp on reality.
….with nukes.
….led by a hyper-militaristic despot.

This planet is in some serious-ass trouble.

You give me hope that when the nuclear war comes, some Russ-Aggy will have accidentally set the detonation instructions to five seconds after launch

The Rolls Royce that makes generators is part of Rolls Royce the defense contractor. They also are the preferred jet engine maker after JE.  They share a name and some genetics with Rolls Royce Cars but have long since split ways with the carmaker.

The entirety of my South Asian experience is Pakistan, where they drink but only in secret.  They don’t have any special drinks. One night I did sneak airplane booze bottles in my cowboy boots to Karachi’s Port Grand Pakistani bbq place. A magical, if sweaty evening.

Actually not magical at all, the Port of Karachi is 2/10 on the charm scale. Hence the booze.
