I'm hoping Ukraine can use the shifting of Russian forces from the east to the south as an opportunity to make some gains there. Got to put the squeeze on them and make every decision the wrong decision.

No biggie. If I were to start messing around with Right of Return it might be "careful what you asked for," and I'd end up in Council Housing in Manchester. I've aged out of the "Just go be a bartender in Spain" zone.

Yep, Finns are cleaning their scopes and preparing. I wonder what they know!

Nah, they scare me. Imagine Finn snipers with Javelins and Drones. Tank go in forest, go blow up tank.

They can carry extra rounds on Reindeer.

But what if the Russians send in the VDV paratroopers? I hear those guys are unstoppable. They have striped tshirts and muscles and stuff.

Send in the aggy corps as reinforcements. Win win. We get rid of them and the Finns get cannon fodder.

When I did time in BCS, the rank-and-file Corps guys were actually pretty cool. Mostly working-class kids trying to find a way to pay for college. They knew they were playing dress-up. The Non-Corps "normal" Aggy were where the true mental batshit resided. A group swimming in fear and anger. They never quite got the joke but were sure it was about them.

Aggy averaged about a 28 BMI. Because a few were skinny. The rest were... a good bit less skinny.

That looks like the projectile that hits the IFV is coming in relatively slowly, then shoots the penatrating portion into the target at high speed.  Does that look like a brilliant munition to anyone else?

ETA - Ukraine must have pretty good control of the airspace over that tank column.  I counted at least ten tanks moving in route column on a road and closely spaced, in wide open country.  That is a juicy target for any aircraft, manned or unmanned, and they are diddy bopping along like they're on parade.  Unless they are in the western half of Ukraine, that's encouraging.

It seems that russia is running low on SAMs and can't maintain a CAP to control the airspace because their AF is BS. Ukraine is on home turf with all the latest 10-15 year old western stockpiled arms and equipment, and a shitload of drones and loitering munitions. I have a feeling we're gonna see more of this sort of thing as russia tries to press another Kherson offensive

I’ve seen a lot of Ukrainian videos with various armored vehicles, where there was at least one dude with a MANPAD hanging out.  We gave them so many, me thinks that all armored units are well equipped.

Ukraine will build a living memorial.  Mass graves filled with Russian soldiers only.  Then sunflowers grown upon their remains.  Finally those harvested sunflower products will be exclusively sold back to Russia when the war is over.

How dare Ukraine defend it's cities and towns. Should have just let the Russians waltz into Buca and Irpin with thier occupation. Make sure not to fight back at Hostomel when the VDV land next to all the houses in the area. Don't stop the Russian vehicles running over civilians in the Kiev outskirts. And don't forget to make sure that those air defense systems are far anyway from any population centers.

Not sure if I agree with his analysis without any other evidence of this being the "tip of the iceberg". Little more detail on the groups from the article:

The indictment of Aleksandr Viktorovich Ionov, the head of Russia’s Anti-Globalization Movement, alleges that the Moscow-based operative had coordinated with three U.S.-based organizations, identified only as “political group 1” based in St. Petersburg, Florida, “political group 2” based in Atlanta, Georgia, and “political group 3” based in California over a period of several years.

Group 1 has been identified as the Uhuru Movement, also known as the African People’s Socialist Party.

Group 2 has been identified as the Atlanta-based “Black Hammers.”

Group 3 has been identified as the group Yes, California, which advocated for California’s secession from the union.

The FBI calls the groups “instruments of the Russian government.”

Meh.   My guess is that AI is probably right here and that Ukraine is putting troops into population centers.   But the context seems that not putting troops and equipment into population centers just leaves them completely open to destruction which the Russians have shown they are gleefully willing to do.  So the decision to keep troops in present is necessary as the Russians would likely just kill and kidnap more unprotected people not just leave them be.

Of course, this is all based on what I have reasoned from this thread and not from an objective ground source.
