It's going to be an epic slaughter.

The human gene pool wins in the big picture.

The long term impacts of the loss of young Russian men will be interesting. Who will work their farms and factories? What does this do to an already crushed economy?

Well this is new, oh boy

Image circulating throughout Telegram showing an ADM-160B MALD (Miniature Air-Launched Decoy) decoy missile found in central Luhansk. The ADM-160B MALD main payload is a Northrop Grumman SAS which allows the decoy missile to simulate any aircraft in the U.S. inventory.— (Not Elon) Doge (@IntelDoge)

This is claimed to be a ADM-160 found in Luhansk. Supposedly used to saturate AD. I know nothing about these. But I'm sure someone will make a long thread about them. https://t.co/4ZXay1KP5A

 Big boom

A better and more recent one, specifically discussing the S400 system, which oh by the way, the Chinese use as well.  This is signalling to them as well.

I'd be willing to be a classified part of this is that it can also make MiG radar signatures, so there's that.

Read on Twitter yesterday but can’t find it now. Essentially:

5 months into Russian’s winter offensive… Ukraine: has it started yet?

10 minutes into Ukrainian incursion at Bahkmut… Russia: HOLY SHIT! It’s started!

They are about to be completely blind on Ukrainian soil, no air defense at all.  Given the way their air defense works in concert with ground support, that is huge.

More footage of the missile impact site. Extreme damage has been done to the target structure, which took a direct hit.

I'm guessing they have zero to counteract this.  I was unaware of this platform, amazing stuff

That's nothing!

Sorry for the derail, same exact vibe in MALD video.  Plus MALD does not effectively prevent fumbling at all!

I have never been curious enough to move toward a burning building with what sounds like ammo cooking off inside.  Call me chicken, but that doesn't seem like a good way to live long and prosper.

The Ukrainians did fuck up that building, though.

That said, I expect a lot of noise or, to put it differently, various ground operations conducted by UA in different parts of the front: Kreminna, Kupyansk, Bakhmut, Adviivka, Vuhledar. UA will try to force RU to shift its forces around to respond to smaller and larger assaults.
I also expect to see a lot of Ukrainian activity in Russia: drone and missile strikes and sabotage missions to degrade Russian mobility and supply of its forces. One should also be cautious of UA PSYOPS to reduce Russians' will to fight, to cause routs of mil and civ personnel.

That seems odd though - Lukashenko is firmly in Putin's pocket - he's only in power because of Putin.

He kept refusing to commit to battle, likely seen as a betraying act in Putin's mind.  If he dies and a some military hardliner suddenly comes to power, it will make total sense.

But if a military hardliner comes into power and tries to get Belarus into the fight, and the Belarusian people rebel (Belarus's military is small to begin with), Putin has no troops to send in.
