We are receiving more and more messages from the regions of Russia about agendas “on issues of military registration” even to those who have long passed the military age (35-45). Already upon arrival at the military registration and enlistment office, they offer to sign a short-term contract, they try to lure with money, benefits

The offered salary is the same plus or minus everywhere: 200 thousand + $ 53 daily allowance, certificate of a combat veteran. Now the distribution of such agendas is already massive.

Kherson region and mobilized orcs.

U.N. General Assembly again overwhelmingly isolates Russia over Ukraine
By Michelle Nichols

The resolution adopted on Thursday, which was drafted by Ukraine and allies, received 140 votes in favor and five votes against - Russia, Syria, North Korean, Eritrea and Belarus - while 38 countries, including China, abstained.

Yep. That could be another option with why Belarus is holding back.  The Poles seem to have a really long memory.

They are a remarkably resilient and obscenely stubborn people.

No better example than the Royal Castle in Warsaw. Mostly destroyed by shelling in WWII, Hitler gave the order to reduce it to a pile of rubble. The Nazis bored holes to place explosives and did just that.

But the clergy and locals saved remnants from the rubble, and the castle was eventually rebuilt starting in the 70s, using photographs, paintings...and remnants to rebuild them. If you go into a room and follow the gilded crown moulding, you'll often find one small section which is heavily tarnished. It's an original part which was used to recreate the rest. Some stubborn Pole dug through the rubble and held on to it in their basement through generations and decades knowing that someday they'd rebuild. Frankly, most of the old town in Warsaw was rebuilt that way, using period oil paintings as reference.

The Royal Castle in Warsaw

A major draw in Wroclaw, the Panorma Raclawice is a massive, 360 degree piece of art commemorating the heroic, though failed, battle for independence in 1794 against the Russians.

Yeah, that part of the world has long, long memories for history for sure.

My quick take: Surprised/Not Surprised by Afghanistan. India and much of Africa continue to disappoint.

Seems like a missiles fiery exhaust and a rubber boat would be rather precarious, especially with waves.

Nah

"When it comes to putting Javelin teams in those boats, "there are no concerns with firing" them on the water, Marine Captain Nicholas Royer, a spokesperson for 3rd Marine Division, also told The War Zone. "It’s a recoilless weapon so the accuracy won’t be significantly impacted, and the boat itself is small and low-profile, so ensuring the backblast area is over the water and not the boat is easy. The safety aspect of it is actually easier than firing it on land as we don’t need to worry about things being kicked up by the backblast, even, although we’ve fired them from a number of ground platforms and on foot without incident."

Would be interesting to look at military hardware expenditures to Russia on that map. My guess is a lot of the abstentions and no votes rely heavily on Russian military hardware.

which is an M4 that is on trophy display outside the 25th infrantry division  Museum in Scoffied Barracks Hawaii had its underside hatch open my entire 4 years of being there in 84-88

I cant tell you how many times I snuck under the tank (dont remember the chains being there), slid along the concrete to get inside.

I sat in that turret and drivers seat and played dead nazis pew pew pew a lot.

they clearly restored it since the mid 80s because it was OD green and rusty as fuck when I played in it.   And I wasnt the only kid that did that.  I only found out about the secret hatch from another kid at some point.

This is an interesting one. One guy looks to have an AR, can’t figure out the optic, maybe thermal or something, the rubber eyepiece almost looks like the stuff the Russians use.

Even if the helicopter footage was real, my gut says the only reason they'd be flying helicopters in that area is to evacuate senior officers.

This was posted earlier, and is really concerning.  I don't think the Russians are even close to being capable of transporting that many people, but like I said, feels like human shields or some kind of bargaining chip. Could see the Russians kidnapping a shit ton of people and then using them in "peace" talks with Ukraine.

Or it could be a shitload of Russians that moved into Crimea after 2014, or Russian-sympathizing Ukrainians, and they think the jig is up and want out.

I know he’s being patriotic during wartime, but needing nato to feed them all of these weapons is how we know that they are not nato ready.  If this had happened to Poland, what is Ukraine sending to them?

If Poland was taking on Russia completely by itself, I could see it asking for that kind of laundry list of weapons/systems a month into such a war.  Outside of the US and maybe England and France (and those are both doubtful), any of the NATO countries taking on Russia by itself is going to be needing a hefty laundry list of support to keep going.

I think we all expected that we'd be well into an insurgency by now, instead of Ukraine engaging in stand-up/head-to-head matchups and taking ground from the Russians, and we were supplying them that way.

This is cold-blooded of me to say, but this is extremely cost-effective in terms of taking on Russia, and we/NATO should act accordingly.
