What are some of your recommendations for Spotify playlists?

Outside of New Music Friday and Discover weekly I am regularly cruising random playlists to see what I like out there and to find new bands, songs, and what not.

new indie mix is great.  release radar is as well.  both come down every friday morning.

I should also say I play the hell out of my daily mixes.  I adore the fact that they actually get better with each song I play.

love that there are a few different genres of daily mixes too.

If you are looking for just background noise and like hip hop or beats, I enjoy the ‘mellow beats’ playlists.

Roots Revival

Chill as Folk

Folk Rock Chill

Indie Western

Ultimate Indie

Fresh Folk

Infinite Indie Folk

And of course all of the Daily Mixes.

NPR has best of mixes for each year

Evening Chill is one of my favorites for a more background ambient style

Accoustic Blues

Power Workout

Mellow Dinner

Hymns for Hipsters - not a bad mix of classic hymns for Sunday brunch (when I have a crowd that requires more religion)

Don’t miss your Time Capsule playlist that’s auto created as well. Also your top songs from last year.

Bump.
there are some great playlists compiled by subscribers that aren’t done by Spotify algorithms. Post em.
Here’s one I love. New Orleans/Louisiana/Marci Gras. 109 hours of Jazz, Zydeco, Funk, Blues,Indian among others.

Bump again. On a kinda… hip hop and electro funk thing but I’m not hip anymore and am just stumbling through Spotify playlists.

This Four Tet playlist is a pretty cool bit.  He has been adding to it since 2016 - there was a Pitchfork article about it earlier this summer.

Any recos for Tidal? I have Spotify but it’s been commandeered mostly by my wife, 5 yo and 8 yo so that shit’s all wack.
