You can't give your kid a stupid ass name and then get pissed when people make fun of the name.

#3

Give your kid a stupid name then get offended when people point out how stupid it is. America today.

#4

Hopefully the kid has a normal middle name but the mother deserves everything she has to deal with.

Veronica Miracle's whipped by name jokes.

Also, does mom's (1234's? OU812's?) right eye need a realignment?  (When she looks left.)

Also, also, shouldn't it be pronounced Ab-see-dee, not Ab-city?

Give her another ten or fifteen years and it'll be pronounced O—bee—city.

With a handle like that maybe she should consider traveling by greyhound or Amtrak.

I wonder how much input her daddy had when she was named? Poor little girl.

I'm going out on a limb here and guessing that her middle name is FGHIJ. Pronounced Figidge. The H is silent.

I fully support this mother, fuck the rest of you all.

The world needs future strippers, too.

CSB- I went to school with a girl whose middle name was “Noname”.  I’m sure her parents were filling out a form and thought that was funny.  By high school she was full emo.  She was extremely sensitive about her middle name.

You just think about how that seemed to bother her and then you think about the fact that giving your child a stupid first name is so much worse, and it just scares you to death.

It's not name-shaming, it's stupid parent shaming, which should be encouraged.

A better name would have been Abacab.

Her daughter's name is Abcde (pronounced Ab-city).

No.  No it's not.

I mean the gate agent is an asshole but what did the mom really expect when she put that name on the birth certificate? Like the hospital staff didn't laugh their asses off the moment the car pulled away from the hospital to take the alphabetical equivalent of 1,2,3,4,5 home?

Quote

"She said 'Mom, why is she laughing at my name?' And I said, 'Not everyone is nice and not everyone is going to be nice and it's unfortunate.'"

So by all means, name your kid something odd that will draw attention, both negative and positive, every time her name is on a piece of paper. This is like the reverse of A Boy Named Sue.

How ironic that she is also named after the entire row of seats

It's probably the same lady who teased my son PQRST (Pronounced "Salisbury-SnappleDork") she should lose her job.

long game.  mom has been patiently waiting for this moment when she could finally share her victimization to the world.

it's never been about the kid.  if it were, then why the fuck when you give your child a name that is sure to be mocked and ridiculed?

Uh, why do you think there's a very good chance she'll here multiple times in her life "Gentleman, please put your hands together and welcome Destiny to the stage"?

she said the word "like" incorrectly three times in 19 seconds.  therefore, she deserves whatever happens to her.  Some people need to record themselves speaking, listen to it, and then take their own lives.

It's a family name, you insensitive bastard!

I'm sure her name will be fully accepted she'll never get made fun of by the time she gets to junior high.

Geez, you and I think alike.

and as for "the alphabetical equivalent of 1,2,3,4,5 home?" -- there's this
