I was wondering why I couldn’t find my usual uh, pages, I frequent the other day when I had some, uh, free time.

This sucks.  Tumblr is about the only place where I could reliably find pics of naked Mormon chicks, so this hits too close to home for me.

Apple threatened to cut ads because of child porn. Blame them
Apple pulled their app in the store BECAUSE of a case with child porn on their site.

Cant say I blame them on this, but they had to do it. It will hurt their clicks for sure.

I’m sure there is someone ready to fill the hole left by Tumblr’s departure

“pornography finds a way”

Heard they are flagging basically everything, fully clothed “sexy” pictures...

I never understood tumblr as a porn site.  I think there used to be a five-ish minute limit on videos posted there. How could somebody find use of five minutes of porn?

you like the plots or something?

Here is some investment advice for surly traders - sell lotion & tissue stocks as well as Verizon (owner of Oath - which in turn owns AOL, Yahoo which owns Tumblr, and they all get rebranded on 1/1/19 as Verizon Media Group)

I’d be curious what their adult content is pulling in revenue-wise, versus the cost of hosting it, vs the number of people accessing it by mobile.   I know a few years ago, after the Yahoo acquisition, they weren’t hitting their advertising goals, and Yahoo was unhappy.

When they came under Verizon’s ownership, I told a friend that Verizon would find a reason to ditch it or the porn.

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that next month, the umbrella group that tumblr is under is rebranding from Oath to Verizon Media Group.  Verizon probably didn’t want one of the more heavily trafficked sites with lots of porn in there, hence the sudden declaration.

End of Tumblr.

stupid stupid stupid.

Craigslist did the same thing. And LA also essentially lost the porn industry.

There is most definitely an attack on sex in the media, hand in hand with the rise of Trump and the ascension of dullness altogether. This also coincides with the rise of violent themes and realities in fiction & news.

I'm  confused, is dullness ascending or not?

Yes. Everybody's getting preppy & bland.

Tumblr's going from cum shots to yoga pants. Sex is over.

Lol. Not for me it’s not. Sorry you’re a loser.

Women are celebrating this. More attention from their men means better (real) sex, and better relationships.

I’m guessing it’s going to get sold again, and stripping the porn may make it easier.

Verizon just admitted that the brand value of its media company, Oath, is almost nothing.

Verizon (VZ) announced Tuesday that it would take a $4.6 billion writedown on Oath, which includes Yahoo and AOL.

Oath's brand value is now just $200 million, according to Verizon. That's a stunning decrease in value since it formed in 2017. Verizon said Oath's brand was worth $4.8 billion when it last accounted for the company's goodwill valuation. A goodwill valuation encompasses a company's brand value and reputation.

Verizon snapped up a number of legacy media brands in recent years to create Oath. It bought Yahoo for $4.5 billion in 2017 and AOL, which owns HuffPost, for $4.4 billion in 2015.

With virtually no goodwill brand value, Oath's overall value (assets and goodwill) is now worth half of what it was a few years ago.

Might explain why Verizon's spokesman has to now steal popcorn from little girls.
