University of Austin sounds like something out of one of those vaguely rapey 90's/2000's movies where they road to trip to some dude's girlfriend's college so they can hook up and its fictitious name is something stupid like that.

Are you talking about "The Bus That Couldn't Slow Down"?

The 60 Minutes Story Bari Weis spiked

Quote

BREAKING: Here’s the 60 Minutes Segment Trump and CBS News Executives Don’t Want You to See

Hours before it was set to air last night, CBS News executives pulled the segment, but Canada’s Global TV app received it prior to broadcast.

Chef's kiss that Bari Weiss spiking this segment actually brought it so much attention. And now she's put herself under the microscope moving forward as well.

lol

I watched what is listed as the CECOT 60 minutes story. Besides just the horrific discussions about torture and mistreatment, it’s not a surprise to me that most of the Venezuelans deported to El Salvador were not dangerous criminals. And why I didn’t recognize it at the time, the Kristi Noem photos of her in front of the CECOT prisoners, none of the prisoners in that video were those from America. They were all MS13, tattooed prisoners from El Salvador.

i do agree that 60 minutes should give Trumps team the ability to respond to the video. Including a couple of days to gather info to refute any claims. But let’s face it, they won’t unless Trump personally told them to respond. Instead Trump would call Ellison and tell him to kill the story or else.

I haven’t watched it. It is pretty much sop to interview all parties or their representatives for a piece. Who is saying that was not done (or at least attempted) in this case?

Several sources said Trumpco was contacted and invited to comment/respond and nothing was forthcoming.

I can’t find it, but apparently they had DOJ and DOD on the record. That’s the executive branch, ie, the White House.

Meanwhile, Megyn Kelly can’t decide who to be today:

Of course they were, because that's a routine part of the job of journalism. Bari didn't want to give them an opportunity to respond, she wanted to give them a veto.

Now the video is online for anyone who wants to look for it. I saw it on Tiktok. Now it's effectively a bad business decision for CBS to not air it.
