Yeah, that's what I'm talking about.

I've been working from home with my home studio setup (Samson Servo 170 power amp, a Roland MX-5 for mixing/preamp/volume control and a pair of Tannoy near-field monitors) and anything with decent production sounds divine on them.

(The MX-5 is a must, really. Things sound good without it, but it's the piece that ties it all together. Like Lebowski's rug.)

  • I don't know when this came out, it must have been recently, it's my daughter's band, she's the drummer (and sometimes she's on guitar/vocals).  They mine that realm of 90's grunge-punk like Hole, Nir

Some angry death metal with a bit of groove out of a young band from Denmark. This is going in the gym rotation. Debut album out today.

I used Tannoys in my recording studio in austin20 years ago. Most studios had a pair. Good little monitors.

As for heavy, lately it has been all Eyehategod for me and a bunch of noise I made a thread for. I just can’t get into this overproduced “heavy” stuff with all the triggered drums. Doesn’t sound heavy at all to me.

This song is incredible.

Alex Bent has been the biggest upgrade to Trivium. Dude's a beast. Watched a "making the album" video for their last release and they really seemed to write the songs around him.  I'm a guitar player but find myself watching his drum tracks.

Super impressed

Now that's what I'm talking about.

It's different without Adler, but still good music.

I’m sad that it doesn’t look like the lamb of god show in July at COTA is likely to happen.

The rumor is there won't be any concerts until 2021. I wanted to see the Megadeth/Lamb of god tour and Parkway Drive/Hatebreed.

The new Trivium album is a must listen. This track is a throwback to the Ascendancy days, they did such an amazing job blending their old and new styles together in this album. The lyrics are some of their best work, Matt and Corey's guitars mesh well as expected and the new drummer is top notch. It's difficult to get distracted from Matt and Corey shredding, but that drummer is capable of doing it.

I wonder if we'll ever see another Austrian Death Machine album?

Bump for some new Lamb of God.

Recently started listening to Lorna Shore. Kind of a blackened deathcore style.

The new album dropped last week and it's bland overall, but this track is a good one.

I heard this band several years ago and they caught my attention, the lead singer has a vocal range very similar to Chester Bennington's.

Been listening to a lot of Tankard lately. Lightening things up a bit...

Is this the nü metal/metalcore page?

Well if so, I’m adding in some old school Mudvayne, which I thought were unfairly added to that stupid genre. First album was great.

Their first two albums were solid, this track would've fit right in on either of those albums.

Can a mod change that I started this thread? Y’all like what y’all like, but some of this shit I can’t be associated with.

Yes.

Let’s please not lump nu metal and metalcore together. They are not remotely the same.

They’re mallcore.  My jam is death ‘n roll and southern sludge.

You’re so delicate Patricia

Sorry for posting Swedish Metal in the Nu Metal thread, this will be my first and last offense.

Possibly the first Finnish death metal album. Xysma might have beaten them by a few months.
