  • I don't know when this came out, it must have been recently, it's my daughter's band, she's the drummer (and sometimes she's on guitar/vocals).  They mine that realm of 90's grunge-punk like Hole, Nir

Some angry death metal with a bit of groove out of a young band from Denmark. This is going in the gym rotation. Debut album out today.

this song snuck up on me. I wasn't really listening until about 1:20 and then I was like...
Oh My God Wow GIF

Haha, it took me a bit to get into his voice.

that's a really good descriptor

Well, didn’t need that nightmare fuel of a video, but dig the track.

They just released a studio video of the same tune.  I didn't realize that Coady WIllis of Big Business/Melvins had joined the band.  That's exciting.  Big Business at Hotel Vegas back in 2019(?) or so was one of my favorite gigs in some time.

The 2 singles released from the upcoming new album by Gatecreeper are both bangers, IMO.

Yeah, I've been jamming these tracks the past few days.

Like the heavy slower jams.  And pretty close to my vocal style preference, i.e. not cookie monster.

Setlist.fm looked correct for the submitted hells heroes list.

any Aborted fans in the house? While not the best band ever, they churn out excellence every time. It's kinda impressive that they keep doing it. Svencho is one of my favorite vocalists. He's also an awesome dude to hang out with

I saw them with Cryptopsy, I remember thinking I wasn't going to like the Aborted set and it ended up being very good.

nice, Cryptopsy is definitely an acquired taste but I like a lot of their stuff. Aborted is tight live. The European scene is so much fun. Been 10 years this summer since I did Brutal Assault in the Czech Rep. Sodom was one of the many bands I got to see there. Absolutely amazing experience if you can do it. Am so pining to get back to a festival over there - and just Europe in general. Pretty fun to go back and look at the lineup. Many of those bands still kicking. Except Slayer.... or maybe?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brutal_Assault#:~:text=The nineteenth annual festival was,Bodom%2C Devin Townsend and Down.

Search didn't bring anything up, new Kerry King song that came out about a month ago, full album May 17.

Lamb of God/Mastadon apparently not selling well for COTA this summer. Got an email offer for by three get one free.

Forbidden's Steve Smyth nailing the lead in "Through Eyes of Glass" at Hell's Heroes.

new Orbital Gate. the full album isn't quite as good as their debut, but it's still pretty brutal. pretty impressive this is a one-person band

Darkthrone is such a trip, I guess they are doing some stoner/psyche thing this album.

Not as heavy as what y'all are listening to, but it's all I got.  Audio only, accompanying video out soon:

Sleep Token: I don’t get it. Sounds like Imagine Dragons had an older brother who liked metal.

eh, there are SO MANY subgenres of metal it's pretty inclusive of everyone. so there will be a little something for everyone. they kinda sound like a more ethereal and less skilled Tool. it's alright for what it is, but I'll never be playing it in my car.

That’s why the metal community is so welcoming. Big tent baby!  Except nu metal. That shit was awful.

I would if I were anywhere near there. I'm planning on seeing Tomb Mold in July when they tour with Horrendous.

They were great this past weekend. I'll be seeing them again at the lost well with Horrendous.

Their Christmas/Winter album is a constant part of December in our house

anyone going to Chaos and Carnage at CATI today? Early show, doors at 4p. Gonna cut out a little early today and go get some metal in my face. Not a super fan of anyone in the lineup, but all together should be a really good show

My buddy and I were debating going just for Cattle, I think we just saw them a few months ago.  Decided against it.  The devastation of the nation just got announced for november and is stacked.  I'm pissed cause I'll be out of the country.  Been wanting to see Fulci for years now.
