We use Tanglewood Animal Hospital, and are very happy. Have a friend that uses them as well.

I've heard good things about Tanglewood as well.  We used South Park Animal Hospital when my old beagle was at his end - they were good.

Tanglewood is nice but fairly pricey.  We prefer old school.  Dr. Rosbrock is off FM 967.  Good old country vet.  No frills, but he's seen it all and the prices are so reasonable that you'll shit.

Interesting, they were quite a bit cheaper than my former vet in Central Austin, so maybe that is why I've never thought they pricey.

Once VCA bought them, everything went up a little.  It's not stupid pricey, but for example a regular exam at Dr. Rosbrock is $15.

Roy Jones, South Austin Pet Clinic on William Cannon.  Other than being an aggy, he's pretty solid.

I shat.

Wow was he cheaper, but, backed logged for over a week.

I have an old cat that can't stand and blind.  I feed him on a paper plate where he licks the food while his face rests on the plate.  I put him in the catbox a couple times a day.  It's time to put him down.

Here's the range, Dr. Rosebrock quoted $20, Brodie Animal Hospital quoted $232!

It's pretty amazing really.  It can take a little while to get in to see him, and he's not going to blow sunshine up your ass, but you can't beat the prices.  He's taken very good care of our dogs since we found him.

Sorry to hear about your cat.  Sucks no matter what the situation.
