December 24, 20187 yr 'MERICA. 'Ol VAN WHIPPIN SOME COMMIS ASS. One of our greatest treasures. Great human being, too.
January 11, 20196 yr Just got around to reading this thread, and it's hard to believe that nobody has posted either of these tunes:

Nigel and Reiner playing off each other, the serious tone, the intrigue, etc. But what really brings it all together, imo, is Nigel chewing that gum like a cow in the pasture working on its cud.
June 22, 20205 yr My mother is a concert level pianist, she brought me up on a lot of Michael McDonald and Doobie Brothers: Here is one I can't believe I haven't seen yet: CHIEF
June 24, 20205 yr Working a SRV song into a piano/keyboard thread is an interesting take. You picked the right song (and performance) to highlight Reece Wynans for sure. While the keyboard is still second to SRV's guitar, that song would not work the same without Wynans.
June 26, 20205 yr May not be cool but always liked Liberace... Victor Borge is hilarious... And just because...
July 3, 20205 yr Author This caught my fancy earlier on this lazy summer day. Nothing fancy and almost non-existent at the beginning of the song but winds up being juuusst the right touch of hammond by the time the tidy outro concludes.
July 19, 20205 yr Author I wouldn't necessarily consider this a piano song, but it's instrumental *rimshot* in making this a rock and roll song and not just rock.
August 1, 20205 yr Tender years. Eddie and the cruisers ... er... John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band

August 1, 20205 yr That is some of the worst lip synching I've ever seen. Full disclosure: I've never seen Eddie and the Cruisers. And if that's a "highlight" then I made the right decision.
