Holy shit.  Hard pressed to find anyone else who can belt out the notes like Janis & Tom.  Especially these days.

A TJ show in Vegas was a bucket item i never got to check off.

Check out the TJ with CSN clip.  It's hilarious.  Crosby is higher than a kite, of course.

May be an image of 5 people, people standing and indoor

It would be amazing to have watched a studio session with The Dan.

Last Thursday night at Jerruh's birthday party.  Pretty spry for 87.

This picture is kind of a gut punch.  It was taken mere hours before Jimi died, and may be the last picture ever taken of him.  It was taken by Monica Danneman, a crazy German, gold digging whore groupie who had been telling anyone who would listen that she and Jimi were going to get married.  Apparently, Jimi got tired of her shit, and decided to stop seeing her.  On the evening of 17 September 1970, they had a bit of a falling out about Jimi attending a party that evening.  After Monica created a scene outside the apartment where Jimi was attending the party, Jimi decided to go back to the apartment he had been sharing with Monica to retrieve his guitar...the guitar seen in this picture.  In an effort to keep Jimi from departing her apartment that night, apparently believing that she could persuade him to not dump her, she slipped him a super-sized dose of sleeping pills after they had shared a meal and wine.  Apparently, she didn't know that these pills were twice the potency of regular sleeping pills.  Jimi never woke up.  This is the gist of what Kathy Etchingham, a former Hendrix girlfriend who had had remained friends with Jimi until his death, said in an interview about a decade or so ago.  Kathy had pursued the events of Jimi's death, and had gotten to the point where Monica Danneman was going to be forced to testify under oath about what happened the night of 17 September 1970.  She committed suicide the day before she was to testify.  Sad, all around.

damn this is good !

I think he stole that sidestep move from The Jackson 5.

Great photo.

I'm in this one . . . somewhere . . . Superjam '78, Busch Stadium, St. Louis.  The fact that it's daylight, with a clear full set of gear behind the artist performing leads me to believe it's Bob Welch.  Could be Eddie Money, but he never played guitar to my knowledge.  The later acts were Angel, Blue Oyster Cult, and headliners Styx.

Not a pic but a very cool story nonetheless...
